Not good. Can handle giving you internet but it’s slow and doesn’t come close to giving your devices the speed the modem is putting out

Not to my taste Lets talk about the setup first. Its easy, as easy as can be. Just download the Linksys app, create an account or login to one, and just follow the steps on the screen. Your first node has to be connected to your internet modem via an ethernet cable, the setup takes about 5-6 minutes per node. Once the 1st one is setup, the app gives you options to add more - these can be placed anywhere you would like within a couple room distance from the other node. There was an update available immediately, and that took another 5-10 mins to download and install. The notification mentioned that the rest of the updates will be nightly and that WiFi will not completely switch off but only slow down during these updates. The performance is great, I only have 1 WiFi6 device at home (a laptop), all the rest are still WiFi5, so I don't have a lot of data to share, the difference between the two techs. However what I can already notice is that my WiFi coverage has become significantly better throughout the house with no dark spots anymore. So, what am I complaining about? Well, its just an eyesore, its too big and has a wire that needs to be tucked away, and you need to find a place to keep it. I am going to take these out and probably wait for Mesh extenders like this for WiFi6 - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/linksys-velop-plug-in-ac1300-dual-band-wi-fi-mesh-extender/6324350.p?skuId=6324350. There's a big size difference, and they just plugin to the wall - there is no wire and thus you don't have to think about placing it, its just handing from the outlet. And its still a Mesh extender, so your devices are moving seamlessly across node to node. If you don't have a problem with the aesthetics, there are absolutely no complaints about the device's performance. Again, just personal preference, that the other nodes seem unnecessarily unwieldy.

My home internet is delivered by fiber with an advertised 1-Gigabit service. Through the use of my ISP app, I am achieving a download speed of 989 Mbps and upload speed of 884 Mbps at my gateway. My home is a ranch style, wood construction, and measuring in at 1575 sq. feet. The main node is centrally located in my home office. The first satellite node is located in my master bedroom (18-feet from main node) and the second satellite node is located in my living room (36-feet from main node). For reference, these measurements are linear passing through walls. Set-up was very straight forward following the 1-page installation placard and use of the Linksys app. There are a lot of features of the app to include: Guest Access, Parental Controls, Security Type, Wi-Fi Mode, Channel Finder, to name some of the top features. Two features I wish were available in the app was the ability to hide your SSID to hide your network from neighbors and the ability to turn off the status indicator light. The indicator light is so bright in a bedroom, it becomes difficult to fall asleep. I ended up placing a piece of white electrical tape across it with a pin-hole to allow for status of the light to emit. Each node supports 3-Gigabit LAN ports and 1-Gigabit WAN port. Now for testing this product, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. I made connections across each node using a 5 GHz connection making sure I was testing the node while sitting in the room where it existed. Through the use of the Linksys app and its built-in Speedtest feature, I achieved uniform download speeds of 640 Mbps and upload speed of 440 Mbps. Currently there are 13 devices actively running on my Wi-Fi network and do not experience any lag or buffering in any video or music streaming. I recommend this Linksys Atlas Pro Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 - 3 Pack (AX5300) Mesh System and give it a 4 out of 5-stars. For the reasons of the lack of hidden SSID and inability to turn-off the status indicator light, I am deducting 1-star from the overall review. I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it helped you in the potential purchase of this product.
