Easy install. Works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have 2 steaming TVs, 2 iPhones, 3 laptops 2 tablets and everything was slow and streaming shows would just stop playing. I purchased this router and all our devices are working great with no issues now. This is really important with schooling and working fro home now. The setup was easy and the app helps monitor everything.

Best router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always just used the routers that my ISP gives me. My most recent ISP-given router was not doing the job well. It constantly needed to be reset. Signals were weak and nonexistent in some parts of the house. I got a Linksys Velop wifi extender system. This helped the problem some but still did not seem to entirely fix the problem. I switched that router out for the Linksys Max-Stream and I gotta say I am extremely happy with it! As soon as I opened the box, the router really impressed me with its design. There are four antennaes attached to a small box. It is definitely not for everyone as some people in my house thought it looked weird for a router. I think its an improvement over the box design of other routers but to each their own. Setup was extremely simple and quick. I just configured the network name and password to be the same so I didn't have to go through the headache of everyone asking for the new wifi password. Firmware needed to be updated but after that it was smooth sailing. Speed is awesome. So I have AT&T fiber which is supposedly 1 gbps. Real world speed without direct Ethernet connection is closer to 300 mbps. That used to be if I was right next to the router. With the Linksys, I was getting consistent 100-300 throughout my house. The most important thing for me was the range and the stability of the connection. Range was AWESOME. This was also helped by the wifi extenders but given that both were Linksys they seemed to work well together. Signals were stable. More than anything I did not have to reset the wifi multiple times a day! I will definitely update the review if this starts to change. OTHER USES: So this router can actually be used as a node for the Linksys Velop Wifi Mesh system! I tested this feature out as well and honestly, it worked awesome. It seemed to have a wider range and stronger signal than the other nodes. I honestly was debating whether or not to keep as a node or just replacing the ISP router since it did both so well. The only thing was that it would be a waste to use such a great router as a simple node. All in all, this is an awesome router. It is a bit pricey for sure so you definitely have to weigh that against the benefits. If price doesn't bother you, then this is definitely the one to buy.

Great router for a great price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the router was a pain to setup at first but that was because of centurylink providing incorrect technical support. If you have a centurylink modem it does not need to be bridged for this router to work. Linksys customer support is 24hrs and is awesome, this is a great router for the price with lots of wonderful features

Linksys max stream router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were having intermittent internet issues and finally thought it could be our router. We installed this and have not had an issue since. Plus I like that I can control connections from anywhere when I need or want to. Like the security that it gives as well as being able to prioritize what gets bandwidth.

Easy to set
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was having issues with my AppleTv always dropping a signal on my old router. Bought this one and after a few months hardly any issues. I am technologically inept so I was worried about set up but it’s the easiest thing you’ll do all day. Provides great coverage for my house which is approx 2000 sq foot.

Velop mesh
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed something that would work well with my current mesh system and it did. It covered my entire house 1200 sq well. Only issue I had was with the app, make sure you reset all the nodes before you try and connect it to velop mesh. I will update in 6 months time, so far 1 month in and I'm happy.

Linksys upgrade time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my 5-6 year old Linksys. I had a few smart devices, such as Honeywell thermostats that would disconnect and only reconnect after I restarted the old router. All devices stay connected now. As a bonus, I didn’t think speed would see a change, but testmynet.com results my speed doubled.

Works great so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Easy to setup - You just download the linksys app and you are off. I was worried about security features - im used too using getting to the router settings by using 192.168.xxx way but now they have 2 way certification through the app. So i feel ok about using the app now.

Nice router but should come with a Cat 6 cable
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is a good bit of kit, easy set up with the app and away you go. I am taking one star away as the patch cord it comes with is Cat 5e so you cannot take advantage of the higher frequency, and yes, it makes a difference. Get this, especially if it is on sale, just make sure you get a Cat 6 patch cable...

Max Stream AC 3000
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I moved up from Netgear R7000 Nighthawk to this and never looked back. The netgear would have issues streaming HULU and this has been rock solid so far. Setup is as simple as power it own, plug in cables and restart modem. The Linksys App has great controls and easy to navigate. Great router and speed -FB

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was easy using the app on my phone. Faster than my 10 year old Linksys ac router, It was finally time for an upgrade. Wireless speed went from 34 Mbps to 437.14 Down and 10.18 Up. Sorry I hadn't done it sooner. Very satisfied!!!

Works as intended
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the item and it works great. The only thing I don't understand is it says 2.4 and 5 available. But when I check my phone to see it I only see 1 under my ssid.but both signal are on. Not sure why I only see only 1 signal and cannot tell if it's 2.4 or 5. As long as it works and the signal is high. That's all I care.

Hardwire mesh works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these and hardwire meshed them at opposite ends of my three level 3600 square foot home through a cat6 cable. Wireless doesn’t seem to work effectively in my home possibly due to metal ducting and foil wall insulation. Setup was a snap. Works great,

Over all it’s a good router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been using this router for about 3 weeks now. It’s faster than my old router and has no issues so far. I am very please with this item. Set up was a bit challenging, I had to call the customer service and was on the phone with a tech for about 10 mines.

Night and day
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been dealing with our slow ISP from our cable provider. Lots of buffering and waiting. That is a thing of the passed. This router is amazing. Flawless since I plugged it in. 5 stars

Kind of a miss with velop
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good router. Doesn’t work as well with velop Tri band satellites as I had hoped. Setting are simple, but more restrictive than you might want if looking to fine tune. Other brands might be a better fit; do research before spending hundreds of dollars and locking into this for your whole home ecosystem.

Blazing fast Wi-Fi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a competitor brand that would drop its connection twice per day and we had to manually reset it. This one has worked flawlessly since we installed it. And speaking of install, this was one of the easiest to install and setup that I have seen.
