Linksys 3000 advertised as covering 3000 sq ft. Home less than 2750 sq ft and coverage from 1st floor to upper bedroom is very weak and intermittent to game system. Upload speed seems slow compared to apple router. Setup easy using app and works fine for smart tv.

Works great. Got one a little larger thany square footage called for. Works outside, everywhere in the house. Advice: don't scrimp on the square footage. Spend the few extra dollars and never have a problem again.

I found the setup procedure for my network configuration a little less straightforward than previous installs where I could manually set parameters, addresses, etc. I could understand in a standard, single switch and router arrangement the automated setup would work.

Bout this to replace my older Linksys AC1750 as something I could expand if needed. Although setting it up wasn't as easy via the phone app, i finally got it it set up and after that, controlling everything over the app was a cinch.

The device works as intended. I still needed a signal booster to reach everywhere but that is due, in part, where I have the cable service coming into the house. The device does take up a fair bit of table top which is why I only give it four stars.

True to its specs, the coverage is broad and consistent. Easy set up, and easy to understand. The parental controls are straightforward and can be run by even the least tech savvy person. Would definitely recommend

    Gigabit WAN LAN throughput lacking

After 6 years, my Netgear Nighthawk X6 stopped working after a power cycle. As I had to leave town the next day, I had to find something in-stock for a replacement so that the house sitter had WiFi. Using fiber gigabit 1000 upload / 1000 download service, the X6 managed around 750 / 750 on its wired connection. A Netgear S8000 gaming switch managed above 900 / 900. The Linksys MR9000 is the slowest, and manages around 450 / 450 on its wired LAN, way too low. I setup the software and manually increased priority to 1000 / 1000 but no changes in speed. As a temporary workaround I have the ISP gateway connected to the S8000 switch for fastest wired speed, and then the Linksys feeding off the switch to supply WiFi.

      Hi Dooder,

The speed from the Linksys Mesh Wi-Fi 5 Router, MR9000 is far from expected. Make sure to run the latest firmware for further isolation. For further diagnosis with our Escalation Engineers, email us at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this review. Indicate the router's serial number when you reach out. Let's take it from there.

Bought this back in Jan 21. So far, it works quite well. The auto switch between the bands works. Only once in a while that there's a little hiccup on my iphone that I lose internet connection and I think its due to the auto switch.

Bought this for a friend that was experiencing numerous issues with her internet connecting to the ATT router. We hooked it up and now she hasn't had a drop since. Linksys is the best!

I like this router. It is fast and covers the entire house (3700sq ft 2-story). I have not had any problems with it dropping or connectivity. Had it for a year now. I will be purchasing another.

This is what I needed. Not to tech savvy, but it helped with getting a boost in connection. Would highly recommend, especially when your provider don’t really know what they are doing and it becomes a self help project.

Very easy to setup and seems to give pretty good coverage for our house. Have had a few more slow downs in the signal than we did with our previous Linksys router but only time will tell how consistant and reliable it ends up being.

Set up was easy using the app. When watching streaming services I noticed the buffering is quicker, eliminated or very minimal. I've had it for about a month and haven't had any issues with the signal.

Setup is ok. Doesn't give full control of device like other routers do - like manually picking your channels. 2.4ghz power is a bit less than my older netgear nighthawk but is ok. A little expensive for lack of features but hope quality is good

I bought this router to run behind a AT&T modem/router. I preferred to set the router up the same way I've always done, with a CAT-6 cable and a laptop. However, it first appeared I didn't have that option. So I downloaded the app to a Samsung Galaxy S10 phone. It was very difficult to connect to connect to the router with the app, via bluetooth. And by difficult, I mean it took several attempts. Once I finally did get connected, the app instructs you to connect to the router's setup wifi network, which I did. The app verifies that on the next step. The app REPEATEDLY told me I wasn't connected to the wifi, which I clearly was. I went through this several times, resetting the router several times before I finally got connected. Then I went into the ATT router and turned off its WiFi. I also mistakenly turned off its DHCP server (because I wanted the new router to hand out IP addresses). This caused the new router to lock up somehow where I couldn't get back into it with the app. So I had to start over. I downloaded the app to my Tab A tablet, and managed to connect to the router somewhat more easily. But the app STILL told me I wasn't connected to the WiFi when I clearly was. Having reached maximum frustration, I connected a laptop to the router (again, to see if maybe I missed a way in somehow), and that's when I saw the tiny link down at the bottom of the opening screen that allows you to log into the setup. Long story short, I managed to finish the setup with my laptop. Couldn't get the app to work AT ALL until the router was entirely set up with the laptop. The app may be a great concept, but it doesn't work well at all. And I am computer and network savvy. It isn't as if I'm new to this. It didn't work with two different portable devices. I found the number of options in the interface firmware pretty underwhelming. I want to be able to configure my own options. There is very little in the way of functionality with this firmware. I am hoping for DD-WRT firmware to be released for this router soon. As it turns out, the AT&T Router has better wifi coverage. To take advantage of this one's speed, I'll have to buy a wifi mesh system. Not sure I will end up keeping this router or not. For the price, this router should have been a whole lot better.

Our other router (also from Best Buy that lasted a long time) gave out so we immediately replaced it with this router. It's tough. Our kittens knock it all over the place.
