Cost-effective router with great performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was easy to set-up via its Linksys app which can also allow users to track upload and download speeds and number of devices on the router. It has also made the Wi-Fi service available much further!

Added to my mesh scheme
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router when i changed ISP so I could manage my 2.4 band to my weather station.. ws did not handle the smart dual band single name so I broke it out under a unique name. All working well at this point.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it and it would've worked great had I kept it. Never had an issue with a Linksys product. I only returned it because I would've had to upgrade my other routers and instead went with the Velop mesh system.

Good router
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My older router had issues, so I went looking for another one. This was on the shelf. As I read the box for information, I realized this is the one for me. I haven't had any problems with it.

Better than my last router indeed!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed this at home 4 days ago and so far it's been great. Noticeably less signal loss and lag time when online. Even Netflix is running smoother on my smart TV. Installation was pretty fast too.

Linksys Router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router eliminates the need for a range extender as it pushes a Wi-Fi signal over 200 feet w/o dropping the strong signal and still at 300 feet you still have 2 bars. Very good product.

MR9000
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup and love that fact you can see your network devices from your phone. Took it back only because it wasn't large enough for my 3100 sq home. Went with the Velop AC1300

Good speeds. Easily expanded.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: -Easy setup -App -Good throughput speed -Expandable (with Velop Node) -Can separate SSID for the two bands (web portal only) Bad: -(Standalone) Range is a bit weak -(Mesh) Node assignment is a bit wonky -USB port seems to be disabled This is a good router to start your home network with. By itself it performs well, but, in my home, the range was a bit weak. It’s good that it also works with the Velop system so you can later expand the coverage area. Both setting up and expanding was easily done through the app. Setup Setting up the router was simple. Once you download the app and start the process, it detected the router right away, and following a few more steps, the router was setup. The only problem I ran into was that it didn’t detect my internet connection and forced me to go through the steps (including a 2 min wait each time). It seems you have to unplug the modem at the time the app tells you to and not before. Expanding the mesh network (with additional Velop Nodes) was just as easy. In the app, click Add Device and you’ll have the option to add the nodes. Wait for the lights to turn purple and follow the on screen steps. It’ll tell you if your nodes are in a good spot or not. Performance As a standalone router, it performs well. I have at least 25 active devices at any given time and so far no issues. On the 5ghz band, I’m able to get about 394 Mbps transfer speed within a close proximity of router. The transfer speed dropped by half at about 25 ft away. The range is a bit disappointing. At about 30 ft, my devices are already getting mid to low signal. They still work without issues, but my previous routers (Netgear Orbi and Linksys Max Stream AC 5300) had better range. As a mesh network, adding one Velop Node in the center room was enough to cover my entire home. I have noticed that it doesn’t seem to assign devices to the closest node as well as it should. I have a group of devices around the node but most of them are still connected to the primary router that’s much further away. So far, I haven’t noticed any interference with other wireless devices. App The app is function the same as the web portal, with the differences being that you can only separate the SSID through the portal and the portal UI doesn’t show you which nodes your devices are connected to. The app is easier and quicker to use than the portal. You can see a list of connected devices, Speed Test, change the router system settings and port forwarding. The parental control lets you pause the connection of any device, as well as set up a schedule and block websites. You can also assign up to three device priorities. There’s also a setting that will scan the area find the strongest channel. All in all, this is a good starter router. It’s easy to use and has good throughput speed. The range could be better, but it’s expandable if needed. The app is convenient, user friendly, and can control almost all of the router’s function.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does exactly what I believed the router would do. It expanded my bandwidth and make all devices function well. Prevously with e-learning the signals were dropped or slowed.

Great router when used alone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router to use solo. Things will get a bit complicated if you try to hook up additional peripherals such as a Velop node. My experience with this item was quite disappointing as my plan was to use it as the master node for a mesh system. There must be something with the firmware but it was very difficult to sync the nodes with the router and, even after a successful pairing, the nodes will go offline. Like I mentioned earlier, this router on its own will perhaps justify the expense but I recommend doing lots of research before pulling the trigger on an item of this price.

I had to return it due to compatibility issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is marked as compatible with my internet provider, and I bought it so that I could partition off my kids, taking online school, from our work-from-home network as well as extend the range of our wifi. The two devices did not mesh as they were supposed to. So my responses and review will not reflect the quality of this device. My past experience with Linksys devices has always been good. I have no doubt that this one would have been equally good. The antennae on it were much sturdier than the ones on my previous router, for one thing.
