My wife and I have too many devices -- computers in every bedroom, tablets, iPods, and gaming systems, not to mention streaming on-demand television content. All of these devices compete for the signal from the cable modem. When the kids visit, they bring along their Chromebooks and watch YouTube all night. The main problems were the size of the house (<30000 sq ft) which led to "dead" zones and dropouts, and the multiple devices vying for a share of the signal. That poor cable modem alone just couldn't keep up with the demand. I found in the Linksys AC3000 a cost-effective and easy solution to my problem. Its easy setup and quick activation had me up and running in minutes, with an impressively substantial increase to my MBps during uploads and downloads. No more dropouts. I may invest in some repeaters and scatter them in strategic places around the house, but it's not really a priority to do so now. That would address the *very occasional* buffering when I'm streaming video content. Overall, the Linksys AC3000 is a winner.

This is a good wifi router. I wish it allowed you to control 2.4 and 5g individually instead of having just one network name and it deciding which device is connected to each. I found some devices like my blink cameras did not work with this router. To get around this I plugged my old router into the new one so my problem devices could still connect and function properly. All in all it is a good, fast router that is easily expandable.

I set it up myself and haven't had any issues, works great!

This is the third Linksys router that I’ve purchased. Not to say that I’ve had problems, because I have never had any. My purchases were upgrades and the older model was passed along to family members. This last buy 9000 was by far the easiest to set-up, even after shutting down the existing one. You can’t go wrong with Linksys.

My wife and I both work from home and use many smart home accessories. We needed a router that could handle all our connections and multiple video streams. This router has been excellent. It allowed me to prioritize our work computers so our meetings get data priority over other things, like the thermostat. We tried the AC2200 first and it didn’t work as well.

I was suffering with dead spots at home where my phone couldn't connect to the wireless network. Since I bought this wireless router, I dont have more dead spots at home, even I get strong signal in my backyard (0.4 acres home). Setting it up it's a breeze with the app in your phone. Dont get a cheap wireless router, if you want something good, it comes with a price.
