Lasted about 5 months, now it's dying

Aside from the extremely poorly designed router portal (which can be accessed both locally and by internet, which is a security concern), this was a nice router for about 5 months. I was getting strong signal throughout the house (about 2900 sq. ft) and everything seemed dandy. Lately, the WiFi has taken a deep dive. I get 1 Gbps down at the modem, but anything going through this router gets cut in half. If it's via WiFi it's decimated and you're waiting several minutes for apps to launch on TVs and mobile devices due to the slow crawl of bandwidth. Configuring anything on this device is an abject nightmare. I'm not sure what it is about motherboard and router manufacturers, but they all need to hire a UX designer, because what the heck. I work in the industry and even I had to pause a few times when configuring this device. Anyway, if yours doesn't crap out after a few months, it's a good router when it's all set up and running. I personally am done with Linksys at this point, though. They need to strongly reconsider the direction they are going with home networking devices.

      Hi,

The Linksys MR7350 Mesh WiFi 6 Router delivers WiFi speed of up to 574 Mbps (2.4GHz) + 1201 Mbps (5GHz). Updating the firmware and using the channel finder might help optimize the router's connection. For further assistance, you can reach out to us at LinksysCares@linksys.com and share more details with the link to this review for our reference.

Im in an 1100 sq. ft. apartment, single floor. I have the router near the hallway at an attempt to improve the range. While i can stream movies/shows with my AppleTV, attempting to use the wifi on my phone or iPad is excruciatingly slow. Yes it connects, but the speed is unbearable. I need to now find an extender? Ive lived in bigger apartments with multiple levels and never ran into this.
