    Linksys not a reliable router

    This is the second Linksys AX1800 router I've had to purchase in under 3 years. (I only purchased the same model because it made replacement easier.) Originally, the sales associate told me to expect 4-5 years ... so I did not purchase the protection plan. In hindsight, I should have,

    Data sniffer for third parties to buy YOUR DATA

    Dont like to use an app to control router. the interface of the app is shyte, Would like to use a browser to control the router, but when you try to do it on an iphone it just brings up use the app store to get the app… If i want to use the web browser i need to go through the whole process of booting a desktop just to use the os inside of the router. Also just to make it “secure” they need to verify your email! suck up all data relating to your email just to make money off a device that should not make a company money other than for the sale of said device. Also the other dead give away is that it is made by BELKIN not Cisco anymore!

    Good days and bad

    Have had this for about 9 months. Mostly functions but more recently has some really bad days where it keeps going out as many as 6 times in one day. Wired internet is working fine but the WiFi goes out and router has to be restarted repeatedly. Worst router I've ever had. I reset it and it has worked better since but that meant reconnecting all of the devices which took a lot of time.

    I have had this unit only 31 days . Guess what ? It has stopped working twice on the 31st and 32nd day ,and of course you only have 30 days to return the unit for faulty replacement! The unit was new and not an open box item ,or on sale . Never expected this from a well known company. You live and learn from experience . Never again.

    It works pretty well. You cannot turn off your SSID, though. In spite of what they say, this can be cumbersome in certain situations.

    SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE . WILL NEVER EVER BUY THERE AGAIN. ROUTER ITSELF WAS FINE. CHARGED ME DOUBLE. I DID'T CATCH IT TILL I WENT TO PAYOFF MY CREDIT CARD. I WAS ON THE PHONE 3 HOURS TO GET THEIR MISTAKE CORRECTED ALL AT MY EXPENSE. AWFUL!!!!

    I didn't like the interface and decided that if im getting a new router might as well fully upgrade and get a all in one router/modem.

      We hear you. In a perfect setting, the router can cover up to 1700 sq. ft., handles 25+ devices, and has a speed up to 1.8 Gbps. As long as the router is running on the latest firmware, put into a strategic location, gets a stable connection from the source, and the devices' adapters are up to date, then it should work as expected.     Poor range. Drops connections

    This router is maybe good to 1,000 sqft, not the 1800 as advertised. My five year old Asus is far better. The beam forming must be some sort of marketing ploy, as is prioritization. Devices constantly drop, hang, and are generally slow. Resetting the internet connection during a show is deal breaker. This unit is going back.

    Died after 2 months of use. Constant blue light which is meant to indicate it is online and connected. Trying to reset the unit (holding reset button for 10 seconds) does not work. No matter what I do, constant blue light with no connection.

    It was not great. Switching between bands was not very smooth. That's all I really have to say about it but it says that I need 50 characters here.

    hard to sync with the building's wifi

    This was hard to program with the App, but not impossible. With tech support, it still took about an hour. So, difficult set up. ..but it eventually worked

    I REALLY wanted this router to work out. Unfortunately, 2 days in and it stopped working. After hours, I finally got it back up and running, only to have it go out again. QC issues aside, the fact that the router itself decides which band your devices should be connected to, and can change that band at any given time, was the single most frustrating part. I could have a device prioritized on the 5.0ghz band, with download speeds of 300-400mbps, but then the router can decide to kick that same device to the 2.4ghz band, and now I'm at 50-75mbps? NO thanks. I returned this thing SO fast. Do yourself a favor and go with something else.
