As a mesh node this router does not perform well.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a mesh extension to the new main router, the Hydra 6E, and it was a definitely not worth $800 total. It wouldn’t work for more than 10 min. When I had this connected via Ethernet backhaul, my hardwired clients in both this node and main router would randomly lose connection for 20+ min. This might be okay on its own but as a mesh node I cannot recommend.

Posted .Hi zhayes,
We hear you. Rest assured that this is not the expected behavior of the Linksys MR7350 as this is compatible with other mesh router/system. Just like the other mesh router/node, this has to be configured via the Linksys App first before cascading to the primary network. Moreover, we want to have our 2nd Level Team take a closer look at the situation. Email LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact details and the link to your review for quick reference.

check network provider with suggested router first
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally did not have a good experience with this router. The fire wall prevented me from a simple connection and when I called tech support to get it connected it choked the speed by 50%-75% of its potential. I finally resolved my issue by asking my internet provider for suggested routers for their network and did so. This experience suggests to me that not all routers work for every network. Check with your network provider before buying this router.

Sensitive and Unreliable
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked for one day until an Xfinity outage, then it took 4.5 hours to get wi-if back, and this after multiple calls to Xfinity and LinkSys, and a bazillion resets of both modem and router. Oh, and you have to unplug and plug back in in the correct order or you have to start all over. It works now but the LED indicator is still the wrong color. Definitely do NOT recommend if it’s so sensitive after one outage.

Wifi poo router
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, if you can get an ethernet cable it would be MUCH more effective than this, setup isn't easy and I'm a tech guy, which says something.

Painfully slow 2.4GHz WiFi, 5GHz works fine.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this router several months ago, and should have returned it after the first week. 5GHz WiFi speed is excellent, 2.4 is painfully slow. 300/7 WiFi speed, lucky if I got 50/7 speed, about 20 feet from router. Node occasionally loses sync, have to reboot entire system. Not so easy to initially setup. Took several attempts to initially login. Would not recommend.

Posted .Hi Mobrien,
The difference between the bands is that the 2.4Ghz is good with range while the 5Ghz is for speed. If the Wi-Fi speed on the 2.4 bands is significantly low even if the router is running on the latest firmware and testing different wireless channels, email LinksysCares@linksys.com along with the link to this review and the internet subscription speed so we can have our 2nd Level Team take a look.

Poor connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router preformed poorly for me. The fact that it led you to believe the only way to connect the router was through your phone and to make an account was annoying. The auto switching from 2.4hz and 5hz isn’t ideal for me. I liked the design of the router and footprint, but it dropped the signal too often. I had no choice but to return it.

Wi-Fi failed after a year.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used it for a year and 6 months. Internet now freezes for minutes at a time for devices on Wi-Fi. I have reset the router. Upgraded firmware. No change. It works for a little while and then the Wi-Fi starts to act up. I paid $160 for it. What a waste of money. Devices connected to the Ethernet ports work just fine.

Posted .Hi, Teena,
The Linksys MR7350 Mesh WiFi 6 Router can deliver 574 Mbps (2.4GHz) + 1201 Mbps (5GHz) and a stable WiFi network but, you can try to use the channel finder in the Linksys app and update the firmware to optimize the router's performance. However, allow us to investigate your router further Please reach out to us at LinksysCares@linksys.com, and share more details with the link to this review for our reference.

Disappointed in return policy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not work for my need. Worse part is you would not allow a return because it was open. But yet you sell open box items for other things. Crappy policy. Best Buy will now be my last resort to purchase from a brick and mortar store.

Not so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We could never get this to work for more than 5 minutes at a time, ended up returning it and sticking with Comcast rented unit. We did reach out for customer support, they told us that this was a brand new product for them and that they had a special team to provide support, they took our information , telling us that we would be contacted within 30 minutes .... we finally received a call the following day

This is not a good wifi router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router router is trash. It comes with dual band 2.4 and 5.0 signal but you can’t have them separate. It’s automatic and no there is no way to turn this off. The signal is on mixed mode so if you have a lot of smart lights or a HomeKit it will keep changing between band. I will never buy another product from this brand. STAY AWAY OR BE READY TO HAVE ISSUES

Did not work, would not connect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very unhappy with this device, the documentation and support materials are terrible! One is expected too use a cell phone app to set up the router, instead of the usual web interface. We have a fiber optic connection which the app was unable to detect. I Netgear RAX10 AX1800 router. Which works awesome.

a device worse than previous product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The way to configure way seems to be smart -download an app and get it setup, but it is a very poor experience to configure it. Also the app is the worse Android app I ever installed and used. Would say absolutely no about this new device.

Posted .Hi, ITengineer,
Setting up the Linksys MR7350 using your mobile device should be easy so long as you already prepare the requirements needed for setup. Thus, if you wish to change some settings that you initially set, then we suggest you to access your router’s dashboard using the Linksys App or you may access its setting through its web-interface by launching a web browser and entering the default IP address on the Address bar which is 192.168.1.1. In case you have further concern with it, please feel free to let us know over email so we can have you assisted by our Escalation Engineers at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

Simple and featureless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.App based setup with no option to disable mixed mode wi-fi. I'm going back to my old Netgear R7000. I can see where it would be decent for people who have no idea what they're doing. But for anyone else, it's insufficient.

Outdated file sharing software
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was thinking that with it having WiFi 6 that maybe it would have smb v2 or higher. I was told that they (Belkin/Linksys) don't have any consumer models that support anything other than smb v1. The problem with that is that it is a security risk and modern OSs have it disabled by default.

Wi-Fi 6 Is A Much Needed Improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually do not buy a product before it has been reviewed by the tech folks and has received great reviews by numerous consumers. I have read that Wi-Fi 6 was a better mouse trap and offered improved performance and Dual Band Mesh was a must have. The only obstacle was price. So when I saw this new router from Linksys priced at $150, that provided Wi-Fi 6 & Mesh, I ordered it immediately. The new router arrived and when I told my wife this was a completely new product, we both laughed. We were thinking that it was all hype and our current router worked well enough. There was only was issue we experienced in that we use Wi-Fi calling. When we went into the kitchen, the farthest distance away from the router, we had dropped calls or people couldn't hear us. Installing the new router was simple using the Linksys app for Android and I was up and running quickly. I made a Wi-Fi call from the kitchen, with a strong signal, and it worked perfectly. I am with Suddenlink on their 400Mbps plan and with my old router could reach speeds in the low 200's Mbps using 5GHz and under 100 Mbps on 2.4GHz., which was very satisfactory. If it was for the lack of range to the kitchen area, I wouldn't have even thought of buying a new router. Speeds with this router on 5GHz/2.4GHz combined is 429Mbps. With guest access using the 2.4Ghz only speeds are 260Mbps and above. I would recommend this router to anyone looking to update to the new Wi-Fi 6 [802.11ax] and Mesh Dual Band. There is only one caveat. The range is limited to a 1500 sq, ft, structure. My home is 1546 sq.ft. Nodes are available from Linksys to expand the range.

No installation instructions
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation instructions are not included in the packaging. To get the installation instructions you have to buy an app. I paid for this router, Linksys didn’t give it to me for free! It’s outrageous they charge an additional cost for installation instructions!
