I wanted to like this product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product offers fast imternet speeds but has to restart myltiple times a day. The app always claims to be online even when the router is not. Lynksys support is litterally a check to see if you are physically plugged into ethernet, then a check to see if the firmware is up to date; both checks are always yes, and the router continues to have issues. Very frustrating.

SO NOT READY FOR 2019 YET. RUSHED TO MARKET.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About me: I love technology and I am often the first to engage myself with new software or hardware. By no means am I an expert but I rarely struggle with new equipment. I've set up maybe a dozen wireless networking systems to date. It comes easy to me. I've been a Linksys fan for years if not a decade by now (until Belkin bought it). That said, I started to set-up the new MX5 Wi-Fi 6 system and the LINKSYS APP wasn't ready for it and when I called Linksys support, neither were they. After a 35 minute wait to get to a Linksys Rep (outsourced to the Philippines of course), the agent that answered couldn't assist. She was very friendly and told me she would have a Senior Tech Rep call me back. They did not. I did jump online but the MX5 system is too new for any feedback assistance yet. It's pricey at $399 a node. Buy just 3 of them and that will cost you $1200.00 That dollar amount is worthy of a USA Call Center at least. The 'Nodes' themselves are large, bulky and white (most A/V gear and Wi-Fi products are black. Even the power cord is white. The Linksys App is a failing application that isn't always easy to figure out (I've found it best to delete the app and then reinstall it when there are issues). Okay, it is really sub-par. Keep in mind that the MX5, Wi-Fi 6 system will only offer you a vast benefit (if I can ever get mine to launch) for devices that are Wi-Fi 6 friendly. Most are not. In fact only the iPhone 11 has the technology as of now (that I can find).

DO NOT BUY THIS ROUTER - Misleading Advertising
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys Velop Mx5300 Intelligent Mesh Router IS NOT FULLY WIFI 6, 802.1ax IS ONLY FUNCTIONAL in Two of the Three Bands. When the devices join to the 5 Ghz 2nd band from Channels 149 to 161 that radio transmitter only provide 802.11ac. This means that the MX5300 is not a Real Fully capable WiFi 6 Router is just half WiFi 6. I have confirmation of this from Linksys. You receiving misleading advertising, because they are not showing clearly this on the technical specifications of the device. The question here is you will pay for a half WiFi 6 Router?? So far I have test most of all WiFi 6 mesh linksys Reuters including MR-7350, Mx-4200 and the only one with this Issue is the Mx5300 the most expensive router from the line.

Terrible support, flakey product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible customer service. After spending ~$1K on 3 nodes, after less than a year the system stopped working (parental controls couldn't be turned off and was constantly blocking some devices). Online chat was constantly blocked, phone support was terrible and they eventually hung up, social media support told me they'd take care of me... still waiting several hours later. This router is EOL'd, there is no way to save the configs on it (so you can't store all your settings and do a factory reset, or worse get another unit if there's a hardware failure).

Run, seriously
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Run. These work great for a few months, then devices start to drop. Then the whole system needs to be reset once a month, then once a week, then it starts going down multiple times throughout the day after you’ve owned them about a year. Long gaps between firmware updates, poor stability with lots of smart home devices. I sincerely wish I hadn’t bought these.

Awful, in every way!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have tried for 3 years to like this crap, gave up. It is the most unreliable system I’ve ever owned. Coverage is limited to very small areas by the satellite modules. Support is non existent, if you speak Indian, you may have a chance.
