in my search to find a 'decent router, at a decent price' I picked the N300 up... I didn't like anything about it from form to function.

    Great Router

I am a Comcast cable internet customer. For a while I have been using the T-Mobile HotSpot Home Router since I have a home phone. I noticed my internet speed was around 5Mbps instead of the 25Mbps that I subscribe. I got a new Motorola SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem several months ago and still the speed was around 5Mbps. I then called up Comcast and had a technician to come take a look. After he arrived, did test, and inspected everything, he said I was using an router, which was the T-Mobil HotSpot Home router. He suggested I get me a Linksys N router to get the 25Mbps speed. He said I could still use the T-Mobile router for my home phone, thus having two routers hook up to one cable modem. I hooked it up tonight and notice my internet speed meet and/or exceed the 25Mbps. I am satisfied with the product. Let's hope it'll last.

This router is slow. It is slower than the router I bought in 2000 - same brand. A complete waste of time and money.

I've only used Linksys routers, never tried other brands. My experience is reliable and easy setup. This model has a new sleek look with its color and size it blends with furniture don't even notice it at all.

Amazingly easy to install. Wireless devices connect with ease. Only 4 days of use but have not had to re-boot the router (like I was having to do every other day with my old router).

    Good for wired gaming

I went from a Linksys Befsr41 ver 3 router to this. It died so I needed to upgrade. I am writing the review for gamers out there. I have my whole house wired (xbox, and 3 PC's) I hate wireless connections. But all routers seem to come with WiFi now. I turned off the WiFi in the setup and the router is great. I get good speeds and have not been disconnected once. I was getting a lot of disconnects on my old router. But it was very old. I play Dota 2 and Torchlight 2 mainly. Also watch a lot of HD streams and Netflix. Works great. I wrote this because looking for a new router was confusing after so many years. I can't speak to the people who want this for Wireless net. This is a review for the wired fossils like myself ;). Hope this helps somebody.

I purchased this router to add a Magic Jack VoIP adapter rather than just connecting the adapter to my computer. Received the router today 12-16-15 and it was easy to set up - just run the CD and follow the instructions. Attached the Magic Jack (which I also purchase at Best Buy) and it works so far - the line is clear, no noise or static.

With a previous router, I had been having problems with a wireless printer; also, we would get booted offline. I bought this, and we are online 24/7, and no problems with wireless printing, to boot. This is the second linksys router I've had; the first one lasted eons and gave us great service. I'm sold on Linksys.

    Solid Cheap Router

This is a great router for the price. No frills and gets the job done. My only issue is that the range. It is fine if you live in a small apartment but if you live in a big house, you might have to consider another model with better range.
