When it gave me a stronger signal than I had without it, I could not get AOL. It may work for some people but I couldn't get the desired results, even with the help of a technician from AOL Assist. However, the Linksys wireless AC USB adapter gave me a stronger signal than my old USB Wi-Fi receiver. It was also easier to set up than the range extender.
