I have the PS4 practically on top of the wi fi booster and the wi fi still goes in an out. Please don't say I did not do it correctly, I have had a tech person in my house and he doesn't understand it and I have had the PS 4 replaced by Playstation.

First thing that we need to do is to check if your main wireless network is broadcasting 2 separate networks for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies since this wireless repeater has the capability to repeat both networks simultaneously. We also need to verify which network your PS4 is currently hooked up to so we can tweak some wireless settings to achieve maximum performance. In addition to that, Proper relocation of the device has a big impact on how it performs. It is recommended to ensure that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. Now getting 30 Mpbs on 5 GHz at same location. Worked for me.

It connected up for a few days and then I couldn't get it to connect up. I took it back. I did not really notice a difference in the few days that it did connect up.

Works great, however if you are going to be using an Xbox or PS on your wifi I would say go a different route, this one cannot seem to keep up with my xbox.

To achieve maximum performance, we strongly recommend to relocate your range extender to an area which is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. You can reset and reinstall the unit and look for a better spot to plug it in. To establish a good connection between your router and the range extender, please make sure that the extender is in the line of sight of the router. The extender should be placed where it can get at least three (3) wireless signal bars. You can try to use any wireless handheld device to check the signal on the area where you want to install the equipment. After that, you may proceed on installing the device.
