We appreciate your feedback, and this is clearly not the experience we wanted you to have with our Linksys products. Let's get this working. Have you tried resetting and reinstalling your wireless extender? What about relocating it to another location to improve the range? To achieve maximum wireless coverage, It is recommended that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. We would also suggest to reset and reconfigure the router, and make sure that it's running on the latest firmware version. * Use a wireless-N router/access point to fully utilize its capability.
* Place the range extender in an area where you are getting a strong wireless signal from the router.
* Update or re-flash the firmware.

Weird noise

Difficult to get working

If this is the case, please make sure that your devices are connected to the extended network when you are at the dead spots of your network. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Linksys RE4100W for the purpose of extending wifi to my deck after installing new windows hindered wifi transmission, This unit was extremely easy to setup using my iPhone. And, it works. For $35 (clearance price) I solved my problem. It recognizes 2.4 and 5 GHz, and passes them on. I use the same security password as the Uverse router.
