* Place it in an area where there is still good connection from the router.
* Use a handheld device (phone or tablet) to check for your router's signal strength. Once you can find a place where there is still 2-3 signal bars, then that's the perfect location for your extender.
* Set your router to use a permanent wireless channel. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.
* Update or re-flash the firmware.

I was a bit disappointed that the signal was not stronger and able to penetrate more of the house to ensure a full strength signal.

It’s works and provides a consistent WiFi signal

It works good for the cameras and if needed for our mobile phones if we are outside and want to stream music. It’s not as fast as the home WiFi but it’s solid.
