RANGE EXTENDER FOR HOME WIFI
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We needed a range extender for our Linksys N600 WYFI and were surprised to find we could get one specifically for our model Wi-Fi and not just a generic range extender. Installation was as simple as plugging it in and telling the computer to recognize it. It works fine but I wish it would say whether we can add a second one for the other end of our large house. The sales man was very helpful, maybe I should go back and ask about whether one can use two extenders.

• Place it in an area where there is still good connection from the router.
• Adjust the router’s wireless channel. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.
• Use WPA2 Personal wireless security on your router and range extender.
• Update or re-flash the firmware.
• Reset and reconfigure the extender.

He was very helpful. This product suited my needs and was on sale. I had no trouble setting it up with my existing router (Verizon) and it does what I wanted. - extends the range into my children's room farthest from the router. Plus I plugged in speakers so we have wireless speakers.

We have always had issues with wifi reaching the back of the house and the bedrooms. With Apple products this was a major issue because our data plan would skyrocket if we did not use wifi. The wifi extender resolved all of our issues. Easy setup even for a low tech like me.

We recommend that you set up a different SSID (network name) for the extender and make sure that you place it in a location where it still has a good line of sight to the main router.
