Easy to set up and works very well and has a wide range.

Our old router would go in and out and streaming was horrible. I have not had to reboot this router in the time we have had it. Streaming is instant with no buffering.

Just got smart TV wireless, could not getlocal channels. This gets us channels. Thanks

The Linksys - Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch - Black is a decent workhorse router for small business application.

This is a nice router. I usually have at least four devices running on my network at a time and it seems to handle the traffic well. The setup was pretty easy. I live in the country and have no reason to have a secured network but this router does not give you the choice for an unsecured network. The guest user portion never seems to work very well. I end up having to give guests my password so that they can access the Internet.

Linksys has put out dependable, quality routers for a good price and I have never had a problem with their products. This one is no exception. It is easy to use with a basic knowledge of computers. The only problem I have had is, after upgrading to this, an old desktop with an old wireless card in it has not been able to connect to my network. However, I can easily attribute that to the old computer rather than the router.

Setup fairly easier. A little more difficult to set up advanced settings; need to be an advanced user to understand what all the options do. Explanation of those options not always clear. Also, I haven't found the way to name the 5.0 channel different than the 2.4 channel like I was able to do on my previous router from a different manufacturer; am I missing something?

replacement for Lynksys WRT1546 that died after 7 years. New unit has no external antenna. The speed drop to 12Mb at 20 feet signal strength goes to -59dBm has signal quality issues . My second WRT1546 at other site get 12Mb from shop through 2 brick walls at 30 feet and does not drop signal. Looks like need range extender just for in the house at new unit location would have purchased something else if facts be known on that issue.

So far, a good purchase. Faster, great range cover, even in the rooms away from the box.

I bought this at the same time I bought my modem. It was on sale for $60 and it is well worth them money. It is easy to set up your password and other security.

Easy setup. Just follow instructions to install. It has good coverage.

We use this router to extend the wireless connection throughout our house. It is providing an extra boost of service to the previously "dark" areas of the house.

I would reccomend having the Geek Squad set up an initial network but for a replacement router this was a breeze compared to the first older version I had. More user friendly and the band width is great compared to older versions. Im in an apartment with lots of wireless networks in the area and this was a much smoother process to replace than in the past. Dual Band & N are the way to go even for basic use in any home.
