for a great router you cannot go to anything better

It was ok for the first couple days but then the connection kept disconnecting so I exchanged it for NetGear which I think in my opinion is better. The cost is the same however Linksys didn't meet my expectation.

Great power when directly connected to computer, but drops to 1/5th the power with WiFi even if right next to it, is worse the further you get away from the box.

It works I just hate how it comes with a cd and you need to have that driver to hook it up so that was stinks but so far it's not dropping like my Belkin one did

Purchased a new router because we are getting intermittent loss of internet connection. We still get those but not as often. Not sure of the source of the issue.

This was pretty hard to set up. We had to call tech support and it took my husband a while to set it up. Other than that it works perfectly.

The range of this router is far less than advertised. We sometimes have issues only a room or two away, whereas I thought it would cover the whole floor.

Windows Vista does not jive well with this router! We had to "manually" install it and with NO customer support number, the only way to do that was through a chat session. Since you have to turn your computer OFF to install the device (which took roughly 2 hours), you can see how this could be nightmarish! After the installation it worked for about a day, then crashed and we had 2 choices; re-install it or return it. We ended up returning the Linksys and getting a Netgear router that has caused us no problems.

wow.....it is amazing how bad Linksys is at keeping up with current operating systems. I have a MacBook on OSX 10.9.4. When I plugged in the Linksys it told me it was incompatible. Linksys should do a better job staying current. I called the help desk and they pointed me to a website they said "might" help. I used my IT experience to set it up manually - the average person would not be able to do that.

This router is great as long as I stay within 20 feet of it. We have a 2000 sq ft home and it doesn't reach to the other side. I would've expected this to be enough.

I was not as great as they were saying buy it kind of do the job. Maybe I need more range cause some times in the far room from the router the signal it's too weak.

I gave 3 stars because it may have been a good router, but I was concerned by how hot the router became after being on for a short time.

Linksys - Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch; their Technical Support Group all they were interested in was to charge me for a proper installation regardless of the fact that the product was purchased only a couple of hours & had the 90 days Warrantee, they still wanted to charge me! The only reason I contacted them was because we couldn't make it work and since they were unwilling we return their product and purchased a different brand!

For whatever reason, I simply could not establish an internet connection with this unit. Home LAN worked fine, but no internet, even after much fiddling. It didn't seem to want to play nice with my Netgear modem. Finally returned it and bought something else, and the other unit worked fine.

Works well, we do have some ongoing issues with cel phone connectivity, seems to straighten out when re-set. Kind of annoying.
