||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router to allow my laptop to work with wifi, because the compast supplied combo router/modem only operates at one frequency, and something in my neighborhood knocked me off of my wifi. It works well most of the time. On a few occasions, my laptop wifi stops. When they happens, I plug up an ethernet cable and I am back online. Then I unplug the ethernet cable and I am of wifi again!

Superb router for the money. Has great range

Perfect for a family of 4 with all of their IP demanding gadgets. It's able to issue enough IP addresses to accommodate your needs. Speeds are normal for this grade of router, and the antenna is normal in strength. This would be my only concern, if it was stronger my review would be the full five star rating. You get what you pay for, in this case, that's a good thing.

good replacement unit

Was relieved when Best Buy employee explained the differences and made a recommendation based on th labeling on the Linksys package. Was easy to install and link with all wireless devices. Only negitive is the claims for extended range were slightly incorrect, not much better than the 4 year unit it replaced.
