Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

It's a great product but with FiOs, it's more like an expensive but very convenient extender since you cannot get away from Fios combination modem router if you want TV too... I really recommend it..and 24/7 assistance if needed.

    Probably good for 100Mbps internet

I have on average 800 Mbps internet. When I check the speed using an ethernet cable directly to my internet modem I get roughly that speed on average. When I test the speed using an ethernet cable from the main velop node it's about 400 Mbps. Right off the bad I lose about half my speed. I've tried everything Linksys customer support had me try. No change. With wireless ( nodes not very far way from each other) The best I've seen was about 290 Mbps. The 3rd node is a bit further away but no matter where I put it it seems to only get 60 Mbps. I tried using ethernet to directly plug the 3rd node into the main node. That makes everything go even slower (even after resetting everything back to default and going through all the setting changes). There are a lot of issues that I don't want to spend time with. I'm only keeping it because it's still better than my last setup and I'm tired of dealing with the internal network. It does get whole house coverage but it's mostly fast in my laundry room where the main node is.

Took longer to set up than the simple instructions indicated. Technical support was required and they were helpful. Bottom line seems to be working fine. I do like the small design — just they work for a long time!

This system solved the wifi problems in my house. Additionally, their customer support is top-notch if you have questions. System was recommended by a very helpful Best Buy associate. Great experience all around.

    Nice when it works

Features - There is no way to have the wifi turn off at a scheduled time. + It does have good parental controls. - There is no way to manually set the channels for each node (see below). + After the system was set up it gave 30% better coverage than our other system. Net: Zero Setup - It took 2 hours on the phone with the customer support company working with LinkSys to get it working properly. - After a month the system started to transmit all 3 nodes on the same wifi channel (1), rather than choosing 3 separate channels as it had been doing, causing none of the devices to connect to the Internet. - 2 hours troubleshooting, resetting up nodes. - 2 more hours with the customer support they hire, who told me there was no problem. - 2 more hours troubleshooting on my own. Net: Minus 5 I'll be running the cable coax to a central location in the house and using the previous wifi, a WRT3200, which did work well but hadn't covered the whole house. Went for the "easy fix".

Good system for multiple floor coverage. I use one Velop on each of three floors. Must keep in mind the coverage range of each unit and they must be kept close enough to each other to keep a strong connection between them.

Easy to set up easy to use easy to connect to. I kept the same wireless name and password and all my devices automatically connected. Just now the coverage is so much better from the attic to the basement.

This router was a breeze to set up but issues started less than 24 hours after it was installed. Nodes constantly appeared offline and the devices do not connect to the closest node for some odd reason. Connection speed was never constant, it just bounced up and down all day.

If you have AT&T Uverse, you know nothing is simple. But after a couple of try's I got the system working. The first node needs to be connected to your AT&T router. The others are simple wifi.
