This was the WORST experience I have EVER had with any computer tool, software, hardware device, etc. I plugged it in and nothing... I called Linksys and 2 hours and 48 minutes later it worked... for 24 hours when i needed to adjust a few cables. Tech support was polite, but even they were not shocked. The “record” was 7 hours to get one working. STAY AWAY!!! Best Buy took it back without issue and i purchased the Google version. It was $40 more, but it was up and running in 30 minutes of unwrapping and install time. I even used the family rules and connected it to Alexa. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LINKSYS! I had older versions of their stuff... not this one! Worst experience EVER.

All too often though, the nodes lose connectivity and I have no wifi. The solution is usually going to the app and resetting the mesh; a pain.

This is an unusual behavior for the Velop system. Once configured, the connection from each node should be stable.
You can try to manually reset the node to factory defaults, and configure it again. If the same thing happens, we'll have our Second Level Technicians assist you further. Just send us your contact details at [email protected] along with the link to this post as a reference.
