Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

We already had a Linksys system from a few years ago. They said I could add to it if necessary. I was hoping it was true a few years later because so often those promises are obsolete by the time you need them. But was true. We actually were able to buy this pod and add it to our existing system - with great success. The really great part was the support person who helped me set it up. Excellent product, excellent support.

    Awesome Mesh Wi-Fi System

I dreaded the thought of changing out my old router but this Mesh System was the easiest system I have ever installed. It's great that you can plug in other things to access the internet into each of the nodes. It took me approx. half hour to hook up the system. It's been in place for approximately one month and have had no problems at all with it. My new television was skipping at times and that has gone away with this new system.

Installing Velop has dramatically increased our wifi. Installation instructions were soso and had minor clitch, but once installed speeds are faster and in more areas. Didn't need a super expensive model, does what it needs to be.

easy installation and set up. was able to do everything through the app. sometimes, a node will briefly disconnect but will come back online. only bad part is that there are only 2 ethernet ports on the back. now i need to purchase a switch.

I would say that within 20 minutes of opening the box I had the primary unit deployed and working. I used the same access code and password as with my previous router so all my devices would not need new passwords. We have better wi-fi throughout the house now and also out by the pool and across the backyard. Very happy with the results. Add to the fact that I got a great price and it was a winner all the way.

Works pretty well. We have a long single story house. The router is at one end of the house with TVs at each end and in the middle. The router extenders really do well.

    Excellent System for Wired Backhaul

Once installed this system would get 5+ stars. I’m using wired backhaul and it’s great for my application. Since each unit has 2 Ethernet ports, in only needed a switch at the “parent” unit connected to my modem. (Switch is low cost) Covers my entire house plus the workshop off my garage. The install app did not work for me. I was on the phone with tech support for a while; however, he stuck with me until everything was up and running. I will stick with Netgear in the future because of the tech support. Please note - I would get a 3 band system if I weren’t using wired backhaul. Also, I live alone so WiFi 6 is completely unnecessary. Add a couple of heavy streamers/gamers and I would at least consider WiFi 6.

The system works great.. Boosted my coverage and my speed was clocked to almost to the advertised speed from my provider. The set up instructions did not work for me and didn't match the process when I called customer support who were great and walked me thru the set up.

They work great and fairly easy to setup once you got it figured out. I now have full wireless through out my house n a bit of my outdoor areas. I already want to purchase one more unit for flexibility to cover optional hangout spots such as the garage or front porch. Both areas get coverage but not at full bandwidth. The thing to note prior to purchase one of the units need to hook directly up to your modem. This is the information was not clear at time of purchase. I thought the units fed off what was my current Wireless router. Sine that router is replaced by these devices I was glad I was only renting my wireless router. Again good product and been vary happy with their performance. Again now you know one has to be connected to your modem plan for the appropriate number of units for your spaces.

This was recommended by best buy when I asked the sales associate for a product to extend my current routers wifi, and provided a rough idea of the space I needed it extended to. I've come to learn that yes, this product will extend, (bridge mode enabled) which worked nearly flawlessly for roughly 4-5 months, but it prefers to be it's own router. Maybe that's the cause of my issues, I dont know. I'm sick of messing with it and they will be next years fourth of july fireworks. Started with the parent node out of the blue, hadn't changed anything. Blue light, no response to reset button, no local connection ability, bricked. Reconfigured velop as a two node setup, child as the new parent. while trouble shooting the original parent node. Finally got it to do something but its extremely temperamental, on and offline, firmware installs, sticks for a few days reverts and installs again. Second node that had been set as parent went offline just recently, it's in a bricked like state, but worse then the first. Plugging the first one in repeat attempts to catch a flashing light so a reset could be done was what got me where I am with that. Hours upon hours staring at the stupid thing. The second node does absolutely nothing. Its essentially a crappy night light now. So I broke down, rented a trencher from home depot. Buried conduit and ran CAT6 to my garage, only reason I purchased velop to begin with. I'm running the last standing node solo in bridge mode and so far so good. Highly disappointed in this product and even more so best buy. I boxed it back up and took it back just asking for assistance or help with exchanging or repair with the first node in anyway they were willing. I was quickly and rudely shot down as I didn't buy the protection plan. I felt like I had sinned in church. So what I'll be doing .... buying something else that's batter quality, and not from a place that wont stand behind the garbage they sell unless you pay more for it. I get the point of the protection plan, I really do. But I feel the necessity to use a protection plan 5 months into ownership is out right ridiculous. I didn't ask for a refund, just help with making an item that definitely should've lasted way longer then 5 months, function again. Best buy will no longer be getting my money .... I've given them thousands, bought a new surface pro from same location shortly after velop and I'm told to pound salt.

Got his for my partner’s family because they have 30-40 devices in the house between the 6 people that live there. Solved so many problems with the router randomly losing its internet connection and prevented speeds being diminished by all of the devices on the same network! Easy to use and set up as well. Seamless, and any problems that were presented pretty much fixed themselves within the app.
