Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

These work very well. The set up is easy and thanks to the accociate at the beaumont store, i happy with the result. Much better than buying a second router and going through the internal set up.

This product works very well. I have a 4000 sf house with two casitas. I am able to get good signals now from anywhere on my property. My Ring doorbell that is at the front gate of my property now gets great signal strength. I recommend this product.

If on FIOS, set this up as a bridge and you will get full speed. The local FIOS routers with the FIOS speed check will best indicate speed. There are other ways to get to full speed, but on FIOS the other options were half as fast.

If you have some network router knowledge, it easy to setup. Steps are clear. Comcast offers a similar product for their customers at a cheaper price, but it requires using their modem with a high monthly rental cost which cancels any savings.

This mesh system is wonderful. It allows us to use our WiFi system in three different areas in our house. However, as older folks who do not understand this new technology, it was a little difficult for us to install.

This system was highly recommended by a Best Buy associate the day I walked in. Was just going to purchase a regular old router. I was convinced to buy this garbage instead. He claimed it was the best on the market. Boy was he sadly mistaken. Setup isn't bad, app isn't too bad either, initial speed was right on par with what I pay for. Roughly 500 mbps throughout the house for the entire first day. Next day I was getting barely 20 mbps and anything connected was barely hanging on. I have tried every "tip and trick" I could find. Nothing works. Bought more nodes at various places thinking that would remedy the situation. Nope. Still garbage. Now I am stuck with sketchy WiFi until I can replace this crap.

      Hi, gambino37,

Updating the firmware might do the trick. If not, try running the channel finder and make sure that the nodes are properly placed for optimum performance. If that won’t help, allow us to have our Escalation Engineers give you a hand instead. Just send us an email at [email protected] along with your contact information and a link to this review as our reference when you reach out.

I bought the Linksys Velop system because I had uneven WIFI coverage in my home. This system was super easy to set up and I seem to have good reception no matter what room of the house I'm in. I'm very happy I made the change.

This is my first experience with a mesh network. However, the constant connectivity and reliable speeds filtered through these bad boys allow for smart home options, fast streaming and low latency gaming.

I loved the setup of this router mesh system; however, the internet connection was not as good as the Apple Time Machine router I had. This was the basic internet model of LINKSYS so I made need the next model up. I had two nodes upstairs and one node downstairs and downstairs is where we would have poor internet connection. I may need just one more node downstairs or the next model up

Linksys is at it again with their new Velop Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System and it's just as good as the last ones released. The Velop nodes are smaller than the first Velop nodes that were released giving you more room for placing them in locations that they were maybe too large before. They are more "designer" friendly, letting people with a minimalistic style have their way. You can tuck these anywhere or place it on the nightstand, the living room, the den...No matter where you put them they will look great in your household. It seems they are perfect for that reason alone. There are ethernet and power adapter ports are on the back of the nodes itself. Don't get too excited about the Wifi though, These are slower speeds of dual-band routers, If you can live with that I say that's fine. This is more for families on a budget trying to get the best out of their basic speeds / Tri-band is missing here. Setup was a mixed bag for me, I've had issues setting these up for a while as they had a hard time looking for one another. I wouldn't say I spent hours on configuring but you will need some patience if you want the family happy. Once setup the speeds was strong for dual-band and most of the family seem pleased with the range of the nodes as well. What's also nice about these routers is that if you accidentally unplug one the other routers picks up the weight so you never left out. This one is made for 3-4 bedrooms but I would say it would be better to use in a 3 bedroom household. I wouldn't try to stretch out this mesh network too thin. Again dual-band holds it back. The good news here is that Linksys also made their app easy to use and also working correctly on iOS. It gives a plethora of information and features to work with such as Guest Access with up to 50 guests, Parental Controls, Device Prioritization, Alexa Support, and Speed Test. it's very simple to use and makes knowing more about your mesh system easier. It's a good product and its advertised as such. I haven't experienced any disconnect, but the setup was painful and the tri-band takeaway was somewhat of a letdown. If you just need something that is fast enough and reliable this is one of the good mesh networks.

We had a pretty decent Asus router but it was limited to inside the house. This Mesh system provides us with strong, consistent signals inside and out. I strongly suggest calling the Velop Concierge for assistance with setup.
