Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

As I moved to a more "smart" home and more smart devises, I noticed some of my devises were dropping their connections. I finally determined that I need to upgrade my router. This mesh provides a strong signal to all my devises scattered through out my two story home and outside.

      Hi, MrsJones,

Check if the nodes are running on the latest firmware and try running the channel finder. Making sure that the nodes are on the optimum location will also help to improve its overall performance. A Lightning strike took out my existing router and I went with a system of nodes to get better coverage. As I said, I have good coverage, but I was hoping for great coverage.

A little clunky If you decide to move it to another room. I’ve moved mine a few times to get the best signal over all the house. Each move required me to go back into the app.

The set up was more involved than indicated so I called their customer service line and waited over an hour to talk to a person. Now that it is up we haven't had any problems.

Decent Mesh System - Still Needs to Develop

The Velop system seems like a great idea, but for some reason, maybe my house is just weird, I need three of these nodes in a house that is only 2400 sq ft. The Linksys website seems to suggest I only need 2. Personally, my Airport Extreme was more reliable and provided better coverage than these three nodes combined. I can't say I would recommend the system without really trying out other options, and a mesh network makes some sense for the future, but this has not been a smooth experience transitioning. It's decent. It's expensive.

    Doesn't work with Roku

I was trying to get rid of the cable box in the kitchen and use a Roku. The TV kept freezing and losing it's signal even with one of the systems in the same room Had to go back to the cable box. I also kept getting kicked off of Skype meetings--again even with one of the systems in the same room. So, works ok in a couple of our rooms, but not for what I really wanted it for.

      Hi, RFRN,

Several factors may have caused the challenge such as wireless interference and outdated firmware. We suggest updating the firmware of the nodes and run the channel finder. If that won’t help, try to forget the network from the wireless device and reconnect as it could be that the client is not connected to the best node.

After I cut the cord, the cell phones, the. TV, the pads... Everything started to stutter and tell me to "check my network connection". *** PROBLEM SOLVED. all the devices, especially the television(s) now steam perfectly. A little pricey but worth the money

Significantly improves WIFI signal strength and speed. We have over 30 WIFI devices in our home and this really has improved our WIFI performance. The only minus is that you cannot select which node to assign to specific devices. The mesh automatically decides.

These are a copy of the apple airport extreme. They don't work as well but right now i think they are one of the best mesh network devices available. Velop triband is better.
