Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

Mash need to be update
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This kind of mash network is not sending high speed internet. You need to rest the router every time to send the right speed. I have my own router send 350 mgbps but the mash send 50mgbps when I rest the router that time it send 350 stay for A few minute and drop down to 50 again. There is something wrong with software or firmware.

Didn’t work for me
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One tower kept disconnecting and going offline. I even added a signal extender, but still had no luck. Had a tower for the rooms on the far side of the house, which really isn’t that far. The tv’s and phones would use the signal from the tower in the middle of our home and not the one that was supposed to be dedicated to that side. I’ve returned the system. Too unstable!

Excellent supplemental Wi-Fi at a great price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the product description states, the Velop Dual-Band Mesh system is an excellent mesh coverage wireless internet system for BASIC internet plans. The performance is NOT going to WOW you even on mobile devices and certainly not on PC devices that can get 600-800Mbps speeds. This Wi-Fi system should be viewed as a supplement for wireless devices but for demanding systems, you should still try to run a home run from your main ISP router or switch for the full Gigabit throughput. That said, the way this mesh system extends your wireless internet is FAR superior than using multiple routers or using hacky extenders and bridges throughout the house due to ease of use and the mesh technologies that will aggregate bandwidth and give you maximum bandwidth when in range of more than 1 node in the mesh network because it seamlessly distributes bandwidth or hands your device off to other nodes in the mesh network. When you use multiple devices from different mfgs, you have to worry about deadspots, SSIDs, and channel frequencies. Set-up was simple, but make sure to upgrade the firmware on each node as soon as possible. Finding each node takes 10-20 seconds Connecting to the node can take 1-3 minutes Checking the speed takes another few minutes Firmware updates can take awhile per node as well. Setup was simple using a smartphone on the same network as the original node (connected to ISP router), so I would highly recommend using the app to configure everything. You will get the best performance by connecting each node to a cat5e cable directly from the main router or switch, but this mesh network will still work daisy-chained wirelessly from the last node. Keep in mind, while this will amplify the original bandwidth of the source node to extend coverage throughout the house, you will NOT get the full advertised bandwidth of AC3900, you will get a repeated bandwidth of AC1300 since that node is just sending to each node in a serial configuration. While this is a great single solution for extending wi-fi coverage throughout the house, it is not a solution for high performance demanding users who should consider a hybrid environment as well as the more powerful tri-band Velop nodes that can do AC2200 for a single node as well as AC6600 for the entire network. You will still want to focus high bandwidth and ethernet connections to devices that need them the most, but this is more than enough for your smartphones, tablets, and smart home devices scattered through the house.

Easy setup but has connectivity issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for a 2,700 sq ft., 2 story home. Setup was easy but the points would keep dropping the connection while watching Netflix or playing games and then restart. I made sure to place the points per the directions, and after setup they all showed a strong signal. I am thinking it is something in software and not antenna related.

Still haven't seen any shocking improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was lead to believe that the "mesh" system was the real cat's meow, but as of yet, it appears to only be marginally better.

Worse than nothing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sadly, we had worse connectivity with this mesh network than without. It was very easy to set up and I liked how customizable it was. But unfortunately something about our house (we live in a 100 year old house) was not compatible with these devices. We had to return it.

Posted .Hi Wifi,
Each Velop node is capable of providing 1,500 square feet of coverage, so having three nodes should be perfect to cover your entire house. It's possible that the child nodes were not properly relocated causing poor range to some parts of your house. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] so we can have one of our Escalation Engineers boost your wireless range. In your email, indicate your contact details and the link to this post for easy reference.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT/HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM LINKSYS
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 stars Not Recommended Posted 6 months ago. Unfortunately this mesh system has been a disappointment. Great concept, but too many issues. I purchased this system with a recommendation from a Best Buy associate less than year ago as our household decided to cut the cord. The system frequently disconnected. Obviously, the Linksys...then it started needing hard resets with the assistance of support. Literally you have to be on the phone for no less than an hour. 2 1/2 hours this last time...see picture. Their technician Jason was so patient and concluded it was a defective node which had a 3 year warranty. They said they would call about replacing the node BUT NEVER DID. Everytime it goes offline you have to call LINKSYS AND IT TOOK ALL MORNING...I hate this product.

Returned my Linksys Velop system after 10 days
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did work well in my house, devices seem to randomly disconnect from the closest pod and reconnect to base at 2.4ghz. Also did like the fact that the app didn't offer the ability to see how much bandwidth each device is using....I returned this system and bought google wifi and I am much happier.

Posted .Hi, nfr532,
If your client devices reconnects to the farthest node, then powercycling that node may help us isolate the concern. If the issue still occurs, then try turning OFF Node Steering to isolate the issue.
