Great performer - good coverage and fast speeds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have what is considered a story and a half home of approximately 4,000 square feet. My previous Netgear AC1750 Wi-Fi/Cable Modem was not giving me good coverage even with a TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Range extender. I finally got frustrated and went to Best Buy and asked for some advice. Frankie, the Best Buy Representative was very helpful and she recommended the Linksys-Velop Dual Band Mesh Wi-Fi System 3 pack. On of my initial concerns was the box stated that it was for a "Basic Up to 100 Mbps Internet Plan" and since I was getting over 350 Mbps with my existing system, I was worried about the Linksys system slowing down my speeds. Other systems were much more expensive and had fewer nodes. After doing some research together, she encouraged me to try the system. I am pleased to say that it works great and I have no reduction in speed. I am still getting over 350 Mbps and the coverage is much better with no dead spots. I have only set up 2 nodes and still have another if I need it. I am very pleased with the system. It was easy to set up and has worked well for several weeks now. One thing to realize before taking your system off line. You need an app for your smart phone to set the system up, so be sure to download that App before you switch your old system off and move to the new system (if you are changing systems) since your Wi-Fi will be out during the transition. The app works very well and is used to manage and monitor the system. I have no affiliation with Linksys or Best Buy and this is a true consumer review.

Good Coverage with Cumbersome Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be clear, once you have this system up and running it is an excellent mesh router system. The speeds are consistent and coverage is very impressive. Having tested an earlier version of this product, they are making strides in the setup but it’s still not as easy as other mesh products. However, if you take the time to follow instructions l, that can be easily overlooked for the quality of this system.

No more dead zones in my home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys hit it out the park with this one I was having trouble streaming music on my patio and this made the connection perfect not only there but throughout the house. I now I have zero lag and my speedtest are consistently higher. I also love the guest Network so when visitors come over they want to use their smart devices they don't have my permanent password.

Awesome product at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally replaced my old router with a Velop 3 pack and it’s fantastic! I now have full signal throughout my house, and great signal in my back yard (where previously there was none). Setup is easy as can be, and the nodes themselves are small and unobtrusive. Couldn’t be happier!

Continues to be a trend-setter with Velops!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really happy to receive a test unit set of this three-pack of actually smaller units. They're really billed for those who don't necessarily have faster Internet speeds, though I personally can't tell a difference when connecting wireless through this set. My initial set was a three-pack of the full tower version, designed to handle gigabit Internet speeds. Velops really do play well together. There was absolutely no issue in meshing the mesh -- they worked like a charm. Linksys has done a great job of continuously improving their mobile app (mine is iOS), and now I have six of these units working together. Linksys continues to outfit each unit with two gigabit ethernet ports and a singular power jack. The only difference with these units is that there's an indentation in one of the lower side corners for these inputs (the taller units have cords coming out from underneath the bottom). The Velop system is really one of the best systems on the market. They always provide full coverage, their app is fully capable of dealing with Internet access (or not) across devices, even in spite of Apple releasing their own Screen Time baked-in app. The difference that Linksys brings is that you can really "pause" the Internet to devices, whereas iOS lets you get to the details of app usage. If you're in the market for a solid mesh network that provides wifi throughout your house, then this set might be for you. The only difference between the smaller towers and the bigger towers is how much square footage you want to cover.

Solving our WiFi problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were having issues with our WiFi reaching our back house. We’d tried extenders but they were unreliable and would have issues communicating with our router. Best Buy suggested having one system for our WiFi needs so we bought the Linksys While House system. It was so easy to setup. And our WiFi is working great around every part of our home including the back house. We’re able to setup a guest WiFi with a password. And I can monitor the system on a very user-friendly app on my phone. The only feature I wish it had were more “blocking” options. You can block specific websites, but for security reasons, I wish we could block certain activities, so guests renting our back house are not doing illegal internet activities. But we’ll just add an extra service for that. So the product is great!

Excellent Whole Home Coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received my Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh WiFi System, 2-Pack White (AC2600). I had difficulty with setup out of the gate. After first Node is setup it is important to remember the name you assigned to the Node and to return to your wifi settings to reconnect to the node using new password assigned. Without doing so the Linksys App will keep asking you to "retry" before setup finalizes setup. The problem I encountered is that even thou the Node changes were made I continued to receive a message in the app that it was unable to configure and to "retry". You must go back into your wifi settings and enter your new password to the Velop Node connection you made. Note: I was setting up using the Linksys Android App. Once I got past this hurdle, it was easy sailing. The second Node setup was simple. Just plug it in, wait for solid purple light, hit next in the App, and the app configures the Node for you. You're done. The new Velop system is operating flawlessly now. I am very impressed with the coverage area throughout my single story home both indoor and outdoors. Now for the only Con I can really see. Lack of Ethernet ports for wired connections. Once you connect your modem to the primary Node you only have one connection port left to connect a wired device to that Node. The second Node allows you 2 wired connections for a total of 3 wired connections throughout your home. One Node, the primary, has to be located next to your modem which takes up one Ethernet connection leaving one Ethernet connection for 1 wired device so location may or may not be a factor. As of this writing, I am overall satisfied with the performance of the AC2600 Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh WiFi 2-Pack System. The Linksys Smart WiFi App makes configuration and maintenance of the system easy. I am also happy that I still have the option to prioritize devices using the app. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback.

Does the Job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this system because while the WiFi extender I have does great for getting WiFi out to our patio, we still have several dead spots in two of our upstairs rooms, including my 19 year old's room. Personally, I got tired of the constant moaning about it. So when the system came in, I handed it to the 19 year old and told them to knock themselves out setting it up. She had no problems doing that, took no time at all it seems. She's thrilled, I think she covered every inch of her room to make sure there were no dead spots and then did it again with the spare bedroom as she wanted to make sure her friends didn't have a dead spot when they slept over. We set it up as a progression, the middle of the house has the base while the other two are upstairs at either end of the house. What we did find was that it doesn't extend to cover our complete patio, though there is still some reception there, then again, the patio is over 30 feet so that would make sense. Overall, I would recommend this system to someone who wants to make sure their WiFi makes it into every inch of their house.

Easy setup, fast WiFi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed the product easily to a Verizon FIOS router. Fast to install including updates to the firmware to each of the mesh routers. The speed is almost 100% of the rated internet service speed. Quickly worked seamlessly from one end of the house to the other (approximately 90 feet) with excellent speed throughout.

Internet for my whole house
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Linksys - Velop Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3 Pack). It was a breeze to set the system up (esp. with the Linksys app!) I placed the “nodes” at each end of the house (& one in the middle) and Voila! no more dead spots! I was seriously looking at the Google wi fi 3 pack bundle but I chose the Linksys system over it. Here’s why: less expensive, ease of set up and if the “nodes” drop coverage they have a self reset function where I don’t have to go to each one and unplug wait 5 minutes and replug them! I’m so glad I did, extremely happy with this system & purchase!

Amazing coverage and speeds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I set the entire system up in about 10-15min. All my devices connect to it seamlessly. Most importantly the connection is strong and stable. My previous router kept losing connection to the internet while my modem was still connected and since installing this system I have not seen a drop yet. My speeds are even faster than my previous Asus AC 3100 router, was getting around 90-110mbps and now 139mbps. Very happy. I have a three floor townhome and coverage is full throughout. I have 2 smart TVs, 2 laptops, and 2 phones connected and have no speed drops at all. Very happy with my purchase!

Loving the Mesh Network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I exhausted all options for a single router in my 2k sq. ft. house. The speed degradation was just horrible with even a high powered centrally located router and extenders. The Velop Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi Mesh System has been incredible. Not only do I have full signal all across my house and NOW my back porch and yard, but the speed is always >150 Mbps (I pay for 200 and directly connected, I get about 240). Previously, I was getting ~30 Mbps on a good day. In addition, there is no more getting disconnected as a move about the house. I only wish I had gotten in sooner.

the aps made the installation easy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just follow aps directions, easy as a cookbook recipe My house has 2600 sq. ft, 2 stories. I purchased 3 units , and at first, I placed all 3 units , 2 upstairs and one downstairs, and they all connected to the internet, So, as a test, I removed the intervening 2nd unit upstairs, and the remaining 2 alone worked fine in a 2600 sq. ft house with intervening stairway an walls. I found that after turning off the primary unit, then on, the down stair unit also needed one cycle on/off of its bottom switch to reconnect to the internet

Works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping to see a step up in my wifi connections but I am still seeing a lot of buffering on my phone. I will say, we have a lot of smart products spread around our larger house. But was really hoping phones would be smooth anywhere we go. Install was super easy and the speed test shows it's giving me what I am paying my provide for.

Great mesh system, easy to install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This might have been a overkill using mesh technology since my home is less than 3,000 sq ft but now that its implemented its awesome. The main node is in the master bedroom and the satellite is in my living room. No wired connection so I'm using one of the wireless bands as backhaul. I'm getting 5 bars now and no dropped signals. The setup was also super easy using the app and it was up and running in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend this product if you suffer from poor signals in remote areas of your home.

Does what it says it would.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been using a Wifi extender to get coverage in our three-story home. I recently upgraded our speed because of the large number of devices we use, especially when we have an Airbnb guest. Some of our TV sceens would still buffer. Very disappointing. I learned that the extender does not work at full speed. The sales rep recommended the Velop mesh system. So far, it has performed as specified. The setup app was easy to use, which was an unexpected plus.

Strong signal throughout 2 stories
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve finally gotten service through fiber optic internet and this Linksys system allows us to use the advanced speed. Even the experienced CSPIRE installer was impressed with the speed. Hook up was simple, with 2 units downstairs on opposite ends of our home and 1 unit upstairs. Unlike our years of DSL service, we now have fast internet service without dead spots. For reference, our house is about 3600 square feet and reception extends outside.
