A core focus was parental controls. What wasn't clear is that parent controls ONLY work with wifi. I have 44 active devices at almost all times. Most wifi, but several are on LAN. If 1 device is on the lan, and parental controls are engaged for the time period suggested, then ALL lan ports are disabled on the entire network. Additionally, parental controls on the iphone app are suspect. In the iphone app, I attempted to modify the days on which the parent controls would apply. After each change, the change would disappear when i returned to the main parental control screen. The changes i made were not listed.

The Parental Control feature on the Linksys Velop system should work with all devices on the network (wired or wireless) and any changes should be visible on the app or web UI. Updating the firmware might be able to fix the issue and, make sure that your LAN devices are properly connected to the network.

The default is to broadcast a single network that is both 2.4 and 5 GHz. However, some of the older IoT only work on 2.4 and cannot distinguish the 2.4 in 2.4 & 5 GHz combined signal. Therefore I had to modify the settings to broadcast the 2.4 and 5 GHz separately. Once I made that change I noticed a drop in the quality of the signal. In fact, my TV would buffer and the wifi and the iPhones would drop. Also this is only wifi 5 so it's old technology. I decided the setup wouldn't work so I retuned it and purchased a Netgear Nighthawk. It's signal point router but has a large coverage zone. Also it's wifi 6.
