Did Not Work For Us
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much anticipation that this would boost our Internet speed this was a bitter disappointment. We don't know if the unit itself was faulty or if the concept will not work for us - but this item was returned for a full refund.

Could be the worse networking product ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted this to work. It does not roam, at all. Constant restarts and the device list often wrong and not in sync with settings?? Speed drops of dramatically with distance. I bought the Orbi and had better coverage and speed with only a 2 tower system than Velop 3. Don't get me started Linksys Support! They are completely and utterly incompetent and won't stop talking.

Close, but no cigar.
||Posted . Not Worth the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mesh system is a bit too pricey for what you get. We have an 1800 sq ft home and still have the same distance issues that we had with the AC 3200. Worst part is you cannot assign devices to the nearest node

Posted .Hi LJ03,
It is possible that your Velop nodes are too close to each other which is why they are not providing the optimal Wi-Fi coverage. We suggest that you relocate the nodes to further increase your Wi-Fi range.
Also, there is a new firmware update to the Velop system which makes your devices connect to the node that has the strongest Wi-Fi signal. We suggest that you update the firmware once it is available.
If you need further assistance, just send us your contact details at [email protected] so that we can escalate your case to our Engineers for further troubleshooting. Don't forget to include the link to this post as a reference.
We hope to hear from you soon.

Don't believe the hype!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this product is not easy to set up for someone who is a lay person when it comes to modems and such. Also, while there was a slight improvement in connectivity, it is not enough to warrant the amount I paid for the multi-unit system.

Literally the worst
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot begin to express my disappointment at this system. For this price point, this thing should just work. Instead, multiple times per week I find myself restarting individual nodes, as well as the entire system. Around 30% of the time I am able to fix it, the rest of the time the family lives without internet. I am actually angry at both Best Buy and Linksys for putting a product like this for sale. It’s just hot garbage.

Full bar home coverage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this system because of issues with the layout of my home and the dead spots it creates. I currently run more than 30 devices on my wireless home network and this handles it all well. I tested it streaming a 4k movie on one tv, a 1080p on another, my son playing xbox and my wife surfing the net. It handled it all with no lag on the videos and no issues with the gaming or surfing the net. The setup was very easy but the instructions could be a little more informative. I left my old Linksys router connected while I setup the new. The setup guide said download the app was all you needed, except you had to connect to the new wireless system first then run the application. Once that was done the system was recognized and you can start setup. Would have been easy to figure this out if I hadn't already had a Linksys router setup in the app. From then on the setup was as the instructions said, very simple. Connect to the first node and then nothing but hitting next until completed. The app has slightly less available for configuration then my other Linksys router. For instance it says you can setup your connection mode (mixed, 2.4 GHZ, or 5 GHZ) but mixed mode is all that is available. The theory seems to be make it as simple as possible but I would like to see options for a more advanced user. In the end it does the most important thing I wanted it for. It covers the whole house and eliminated the dead zone issues I was having.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First problem - received notification that node went down. Did not tell me, which one. What is the point naming them then? Home thermostat could not connect, even WiFi signal seamed to be OK. After rebooting mesh network, all is good, but that is not good. Network did not recover without reboot. The app - I am in the bridge mode and app functionality is disabled for most of needed functions. Why? No node information, not speed check. Nothing. If one more time node will go down within return period, that junk will go back to BB.

Posted .Hello, Oleg,
Setting up the Linksys WHW0303 on Bridge Mode will disable some of its features. These include Parental Controls, Device Prioritization, custom internal IP addresses, and other advanced features. You can also check which node that lost connection from the network through checking its LED status. Running the channel finder feature may help us isolate the concern. We can also have our Escalation Engineers assist you in case you encounter some concern by sending us an email at [email protected] with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

Flawed product that requires regular attention to
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unable to give less than one star. These are a constant chore of reinstalling and rebooting. Signal is less than stellar, compared to other wireless routers that I deal with at work, or previous to owning this system. The mesh system becomes a must for this product to impress at all. Buy only if your home, office, or workplace covers enough area to justify it. Even then, there are far better options. I'm stuck with these, and giving them six months worth of experience to prove me wrong. They didn't.

Linksys Is At It Again
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK I've been testing this new Velop WiFi router system for a couple days and I must say that, it freaking rocks. Getting started is really easy with the Linksys companion app which guides you through a step by step process on how to set up each node. Once the first node is set, it continues to provide steps in setting up additional nodes and also informs you if you need to move the nodes further apart for better WiFi range. Now once setup, I noticed nothing but fantastic coverage throughout my entire apartment: from the living room to the back master bedroom. Just when I think Linksys has topped themselves, they go and deVELOP something even more amazing. In addition the nodes are very stylish and blend in well with any decor. I would recommend this node system for a mesh network for any home or office. Coverage is amazing and as usual, all of my mobile devices connected seamlessly. I was even able to setup up my network without the use of my desktop/laptop computers. The app assists in setting up the network and ensures each node is properly configured to the network settings.

Bad reception and the app is worse .
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own 2 sets of the 3 pods (total 6 all in the downstairs portion of the home) 6600 systems. I have GIGABIT internet in my home 4000sqft! I do not get but 100/200 down and 55up. My system ran faster on Googles 3 unit mesh system was getting better speeds than these . I constantly have to restart the Velop to get the speeds up to 200! Only and then I am also having to use the channel finder deal 2/3 times a day to get speeds to stay up. This system costs way to much for it to be acting in such a manor. I spent $450 per set $900 total and get the worse reception I have ever gotten.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst router I’ve ever owned I’ve even tried they’re gaming router and struggled with that one as well overall Linksys router quality is horrible they constantly disconnect and if you’re a gamer they’ll cause CONSTANT LAG AND RUBBER BANDING and their speed test shows my “speeds” are at 94mpbs download and 95 mbps upload a faster upload than download is impossible and the speed test on the app is completely bias so I used 3rd party streaming apps and Best Buy home network test they all show I’m only getting 25 download and 5 upload. THATS HORRIBLE I’m just going to go toss them out and go buy the netgear xr500

Limited coverage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by the sales person in the store this system was the best for my size home. I have so many dead spots in my home with this system. My signal drops in the middle of using my Roku or amazon stick. The connection for the WiFi while on my cellphone is constantly dropping too. Trying to call the tech support I paid for you never get anyone on the line. The tech support app does not work and the people in the store could not get it to work on my Apple cellphone either. I wasted over $700 on this system and the support that was supposed to go with it.

Posted .Hi, Michelle,
Although several factors such as wireless interference and physical obstructions possibly contribute to the setback, it is also possible that Nodes are not properly located which caused a lot of dead spots in your home. Utilizing the channel finder might also help as well as keeping the Nodes up to date. Please send us an email at [email protected] so our Escalation Engineers can help you optimize the system for a better WiFi experience. Worked OK for a while, then ...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first installed this mesh router, it seemed to work just fine. Three months later, I am having problems. My WEMO smart switches drop off. Several of my SONOS speakers were no longer on the SONOS system. To get my SONOS speakers to work, they need to be right next to the one of the Linksys units. My house is a two story 2600 sg ft. This mesh Wi-Fi system struggles to communicate with another unit located directly above it through a wooden floor. Quite frankly, my Netgear extender worked better. For $299, I am very disappointed.

The Velop nodes should not have issues communicating with another node but, physical obstruction and wireless interference can cause issues. You can try to use the channel finder on the Linksys app to help optimize the nodes and make sure to update the firmware.

System and/or Geeks need to be reviewed by BB Mgt
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 2 of the Velop 3 pack systems for my 2100 square foot home. Original system ( initial purchase of 3 pack) was set up by the Geeks. Second purchase of 3 pack was set up by Geeks . The enhanced system with 6 nodes continued to fail. Geeks again came to home to troubleshoot issues. After spending about $1000 on the system and having 3 Geek visits the system continues to drop node connections.
