Posted .Hi,
The setup process of the Velop system should be easy under normal circumstances. Factors such as outdated firmware running on the devices may be the cause of your limited connection. Ensuring that it is up to date can help ease the process.
If you still encounter any challenges with the system, please don’t hesitate on reaching out to us over email at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this post.

Limited functionality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had for several months. I wish I had returned it while I still could. I use mine in bridge mode for use a wireless AP. When in bride mode, nearly 75% of the apps functionality is disabled. My wifi speeds are noticeably slow. Even when I am sitting right on top of the node, it is considerably slow. I have contacted customer service about this issue more than once, and I keep getting the run around. I wish I had never purchased this product, it was not worth the $500 I spent.

Posted .Hi, BorgCzar,
We agree that setting the Velop System to bridge mode will disable some of the App features, however, it shouldn't cause your Wi-Fi speed to become noticeably slow. We're glad that you brought this to our attention so we can help. Please email us your case number at [email protected] so we can get you over to one of our Escalation Engineers for further isolation. Include the link to this review for reference.

Great Home System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first learned about this new system, I was very excited. I live in a two-story walkout home with three levels. While the top two levels were well served by my previous routers, the basement was always a stretch for a descent signal. With my home office located on the far corner of the lowest level, I often used an Ethernet cable rather than using my WI-fi connections. I'll start with the very simple setup of this system. This is the only router I have set up with my iPhone using an application. It was as simple as hooking up the power and letting my phone find the first node. From there, I plugged in the Ethernet cable provided and the application did the rest. From there, I placed the second and third nodes on various levels of my home and I had my new network. Linksys put a lot of time and effort into making this a very pleasant setup experience. I took my phone to every spot in my home and had a solid signal and my speed tests were consistent in every room in my home. I was very impressed with the speed in my home office and I can now use wireless everywhere in my home. This product holds a lot of promise for problem homes and is expandable to meet the most complex of arrangements. If I had a problem spot, I would simply add another node. Linksys did a great job with this one.

Best Router for your home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a big two story home and I like to play online games especially DOTA :). My modem is downstairs and my room is upstairs. In order to play DOTA, I need a very reliable and stable connection. I have been using the Linksys Veloop for over a week now and it has turned out to be fantastic. I didnt face any problems and there have been no lags or dropped connection. It comes in a nice box with each of the nodes separately wrapped. The setup is super easy with the app, available for both ios and android. You just need to plug in each node and follow the instructions on the app and you are done. Easy to setup all three nodes within 10 min. The best part is that the name of the wifi network remains the same, no matter which node you are connected with. I get a constant speed throughout the house and dont have to worry about anything. Its the best router out there right now. Get the 3-pack if you have a big house with multiple stories, otherwise you can go for the 2-pack or the single node.

No go!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as I was told it was the best to purchase with 2 older Grandchildren at home doing gaming. It started out okay for 2 days...then nothing but problems--ended up doing trouble=shooting to include calling Linsys 4 times. The last time was a disaster. Finally had enough

Massive Disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At any given time one or sometimes two of three nodes are offline and have to be reset. The first and second node are separated by one wall on the same level and the third is in my basement. I’m not impressed at all with the functionality of this product. Not worth the money!!!

Does not work with SONOS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since installing this product my SONOS system experiences frequent drop outs. Customer service has not been helpful. Many other customers are experiencing the same problem. See LINKSYS forums. This costly system that was supposed to have made my system easier and better has made it worse and very frustrating.

Easy and Reliable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started out by going through the setup procedures to try not to have any glitches (Like removing current setup from my Linksys WiFI app etc..) Installing was a breeze and you really can not mess it up. Hook the "Base" up to modem and then decide where to install/setup the 2 other towers. I put one about mid way from base to end of house (I have a 1 level ranch house) , and the 3rd one in back bedroom. Once it was all set up with my setting etc I started testing the signal. Not a single device was less that full signal except in bathroom for some reason. There was still a good signal though. Even with my Linksys EA9500 I had some areas of 1 bar less signal which obviously is great in and of itself and is a great router. Just to test out what some of the pictures show I took a tower to back deck and plugged it up there and there was no loss of signal until I wan towards middle of yard out. Will I ever need it there.. I doubt it, but it's cool none the less even though my other router was reachable outside also. Overall the setup couldn't be easier and the results were great so far. I plan to get as many phones, tv's etc pulling on them and see what happens there. However I do currently have 12 devices pulling band so far so good. Very happy so far.

A router for today's demands
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am impressed with the quality of everything related to this system, starting with the packaging. The box is well built, with nesting hollows for each item, and a magnetic flap closure. I am absolutely keeping it for future moves. Each pod has its own power cable, but that's it; only the first one requires any Ethernet cable. Connecting the first one to my modem was a bit puzzling because the instructions just tell you to download and open the app. I already had the app, and when I'd open it, it just showed my current router with no indication of how to change/add routers. I finally took my existing Linksys offline and the Velop showed up instantly. Everything was simple after that, just place each hub where you want it and enter the ssid and password in the app. Three pods are plenty strong enough to cover both floors of my house and a sizable portion of my back yard. Cons -if you already have a Linksys router, the app is not intuitive regarding setting up a new one. -there is no way to wall mount the pods; they have to be placed on a surface. Pros + The range between the individual pods is good. + set-up is very easy, if you don't have an existing Linksys router, or if you've turned your existing one off. + the pods blend well with most decor.

Disaster! Firmware Update Catastrophe!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was super excited to set up this Mesh Wi-Fi system in my NY apartment. Sadly, the nodes out of the box require a firmware update that is freakishly difficult to execute. Nothing but problems. Could never get the main node to work. Took hours and hours on the phone with their tech support with no resolution. Spent a day and a half in wretched tech disaster misery. I am fairly tech savvy but trying to get this to work was WAY beyond my skill set. Taking back to store. Feel like I've aged 10 years.

Never Worked
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 5 1/2 hours on the phone with tech support and an hour with my internet provider to prove it was not them, I gave up in frustration. Got another router and had it up and working in 10 minutes. Have heard others have had the same experience. Tech support kept trying the same things over and over and seemed like they had a script and no real knowledge of what else might be tried.

Total Crap System
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My second set of these is about ready to go back. They seem to work ok for a period of time then start to crap out. Linksys customer support is awful compared to what it used to be, or they just know this product is crap. The response they always give is reset the the system and try again. I am so frustrated. We have around 35 devices on the network and I have even installed a wired backhaul to help the system. Still having issues. I would recommend trying something else.

Terrible system, even worse support
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good luck if anything isn’t workin, like a node for example. Worked amazing for about an hour. Then one node wouldn’t reconnect. Moved it within 50 ft and plain sight of the “parent node” and nothing. Spent literally hours on support calls and chat, zero willingness to do anything, such as replace just one node. Also noticed in short window that 90% of devices would only connect to parent node even if signal strength was minimal. Returning product today going with the Euro Pro

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m a big Linksys fan. I’d been waiting for months for the below to go on sale. I picked it up finally and set up was easy. For the first few hours all was well. After heavier use of streaming, I found that the speed was very inconsistent from good to bad. Eventually the buffering started and I even was catching it drop signals every few minutes. Became unusable in one evening. I tried rebooting, optimizing, you name it. I return it after one day. Can be a great system if linksys can update and fix the bugs.
