I have owned numerous pares of LG headphones never had a problem like this before. Best Buy was completely useless told me to call LG they also gave me the run around.

Easy installation, solid coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a two-pack to replace the Sagecom router provided by Spectrum (100/10 service through an Arris cable modem). Since making the switch, our Apple TVs no longer experience regular buffering and signal strength is strong throughout whole house (no more dead spots) with consistent speeds of around 115 Mbps down/12 Mbps up from the main unit with ~ 50-60 Mbps down/10-12 up on the second node. Installation was a breeze and I've already moved the second unit a couple times, experimenting with best placement and had no issues. Two nodes is more than enough for our 2,700 sf two-story house.

Super easy, great performance.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this and was initially impressed by the box and packaging. Super easy to open and setup the nodes. The step by step setup process in the app was great, I had no hiccups or mistakes in setting up any of the nodes. I plugged one in to the Ethernet cable where it enters my house, and spread the other two nodes throughout my house and only had to plug into the AC outlet. Total setup time took about 15 minutes. I speed tested my connection near and far from the nodes and maxed out my speeds every time. Finally now I am able to remove my network extenders from my wall outlets. I don't need them anymore.

Linksys Velop is Amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Linksys Velop wi-fi solution is amazing. Within moments you can be up and running, enjoying enhanced wi-fi throughout your home. Virtually eliminating wireless dead spots. Setup is really simple if you go with the standard configuration. You will need to download Linksys app onto a mobile device. Once the app is installed simply follow the prompts in the app to setup the three nodes and connect your devices to the internet. The characteristics that really sets the Linksys Velop apart from other wireless solutions are the scalability and network configuration options. Scalability: The wireless domain can easily be extended by simply adding an additional node. (up to six nodes - according to Linksys). This means as your wireless needs increase, the solution can grow with you. Network configuration: The Velop seems to be designed to replace your existing wireless router. Which means any devices you have connected to your existing router that use ethernet can no longer be used. If the standard deployment does not accommodate your network needs, the Velop system can be configured in way that extends your wireless network while maintaining network access for your devices that use physical connections. (Computers, TVs, Game Consoles, etc.) Wireless range: The wireless range is outstanding. I have more reliable connectivity at any area in my home with much faster speeds and more signal strength than I have ever had before. Bandwidth is just as high in the outer reaches of the home as it is in the common areas. Best of all, I can interact with devices that connect to the physical ethernet ports from my wireless network even when far away. My mobile devices seamlessly transition from one access point to another without a clip in streaming so it feels like the signal follows me. I would highly recommend the Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi System.

Excellent System That's Easy To Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Wifi system is very easy to use. You need to download the Linksys app to your phone first and once you launch it, it will guide you step by step on how to set up the system. The performance is great and we no longer have issues with speed. This system doesn't replace what you already have, but is a second system meaning that you'll have two wifi systems. I really like this because we now have a backup in case one signal gets weak or we have several devices running at once.

Best New Tech of 2017
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got the Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi System with high hopes that it would help increase the speed and reach of the Wi-Fi in our home. We currently have a router with decent internet coverage in the kitchen and living room, but when moving to the office and back bedrooms (down the hall), the Wi-Fi speed was really spotty and slow. I actually even moved my home computer to the dining room table since searching the internet was painfully slow in my home office. We have a 3,000 square foot plus home and so we figured we would give this a try. Oh, what a difference! My husband was in charge of setting it up and he had it up and running in about 30 minutes. We got the system with 3 nodes that can be placed in various areas throughout the home. We put one by the existing router, one in the office and one down the other hall to the bedrooms. Each node plugs into an outlet and then they are synced together. This process was quick and easy. My husband said there are step by step instructions on how to download the app, create a new account and then set-up the system. He did need to create a new Wi-Fi network and password, but he said this was very easy to do and the instructions were spot on. Once the account and network were set up, it was very easy to sync each of the nodes with his iPhone. It took a few minutes for the app to locate each of the nodes and a color changing light on the node lets you know when the node is synced (it turned from purple to blue). Then we just went to each device and selected the new network he created and that was it. So easy! The nodes are a sleek, all white tower that are small and are definitely not an eye sore or in the way at all. I am now sitting comfortably in my home office using my laptop with full Wi-Fi and it is fantastic. What used to take forever to accomplish is now done in minutes. Searching the net and downloading is a breeze. We have had no issues with our phones or computers in regards to the Wi-Fi since installing the Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi System. It really has made our Wi-Fi more efficient and extended its reach to areas in our home that were sub-par before. We have 2 laptops, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, an Xbox One and 2 Nintendo 3DS that all utilize Wi-Fi. This product is really amazing and does exactly what it claims to do. We are fairly tech savy, but by no means experts. We found the product easy to install and the instructions were precise. You will need to download the app in order to use it, but it is so worth it. My husband said you can control things like parental controls etc., through the app too and it will alert your phone if the system goes down. Overall, a really great product and we could not be happier to have it in our home.

Constant Network Crashes, and unwanted restarts

The Next Big Thing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When i got the Velop System, I thought I would take a while to set up and even though it claimed to work flawlessly while moving around the area, I assumed they were exaggerating a bit. Well, I was wrong. You do need to download an app on your smartphone in order to use it. The setup and placement took 10 minutes. Once I had it connected to the internet, which was working better than ever. I went to walk out of range from 1 router to the next and my tablets internet didnt even hiccup. It was great! this is the next new thing in the way we get our internet. why wait any longer?!

Router with a beauty - doesn't mean it is smarter.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer - I received this unit for no cost in exchange for an unbiased review. No doubt that this is the best "looking" router I have ever tried. Unfortunately, with the present limited app and firmware functionality Velop is only meant for novice plug and play users who doesn't care about network speed or advanced functionality. I have nearly 60 devices (wired and wireless combined) that includes Desktop/Laptop, Phones, Tablets, Media/Storage server, Wireless Security cameras, Home automations and smart home devices. About 30% of those devices have static IP addresses. Some of the latest smart home devices are isolated to 5.0Ghz network with a specified network name. Velop is an epic failure if: - you want to define your own network IP address such as 192.168.1.x - use it as an access point without router capabilities - control the router with full potential usage via web UI than with limited functionality provided in the smartphone Applications - required UPnP functionality with any of your connected device - you want to create 2 or 3 different SSIDs to specify what device to connect which frequency. Velop is a great solution if: - you have no clue what you want to get from your expensive router other than getting your devices connected to internet. - you are looking for a router that comes in more than 1 piece and has great appealing to your eyes. - you don't care about the internet speed or internal file transfer/streaming speed. With my personal usage pattern, I found it is not a good idea to change static IP address on each device than changing the IP range on the router itself. (expample: mounted wireless security cameras needed to unmount and connect to a PC/Mac to reconfigure IP address). Could not use UPnP functionality needed on certain network devices. SETUP: Very straight forward with its smartphone app. Takes almost 10~ minutes to complete each node. More Nodes, more time to spend setting them up. Though 1 out of 3 nodes gave me hard time, but eventually got it configured. WIRELESS RANGE: As a key factor of every wireless router, Velop with a combination of all 3 nodes give very decent coverage. Though I have not noticed any significant increase in the range compared to my single router placed on the first floor with 4 antennas. WIRELESS SPEED: Bummer! With so called advanced technologies using a combination of hardware and software, it completely failed to obtain maximum transfer rate within 5 ft of the node. My 250Mbps connection (when connected to a 5.0Ghz network) dropped to ~70Mbps. IP ADDRESS RANGE - For reasons not known to me Linksys/Belkin decided to force-feed users with 10.40.1.x IP series. Like I said above, I have no intention to go to each device to change its static IP range from xxx range to 10.40.1.x. Hopefully Linksys will resolve this issue with future firmware updates. SSID: Though I honestly like the idea of having single SSID for different frequency ranges, it doesn't work well all the time. Especially devices that are older than 1-2 years won't switch automatically go get better speed/range. Rather those devices will be confused whether to join 2.4Ghz or 5.0Ghz and under perform. FUNCTIONALITY: It is a wireless router, stick with it! IMO, it is an over priced under performing device for any advanced users out there. Though I will recommend Velop for those who are looking for a simple plug and play (not that easy, be ready to spend almost 10 minutes per node) set up.

Posted .Hi, Jacobs,
We truly appreciate your honest and detailed feedback. We do understand the need to create a separate SSID for each frequency band on some applications but the Velop system is designed to provide a “One Network” experience. We’ve optimized the Velop firmware to enable seamless roaming based on the standard/criteria for client devices.
As for your other concerns like the speed and range of the product, and also with changing/assigning a different IP range, it can be done and we'd be happy to get you in touch with one of our Escalation Engineers to walk you through the process. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 800-986-0518 or send us your contact details and the link to this review as our reference at LinksysCares@linksys.com.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plain garbage. Perfection! Worth the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have nothing but superlatives for this system. Aesthetically, the nodes are stylish and subtle. Tall, but not massive, they blend into their environment and exude quality. The app is VERY straight-forward and worked as advertised during set-up. 20 minutes or so to establish and optimize three nodes. Once the network is established, the app is COMPREHENSIVE in providing information on network status and connected devices. Performance is noticeably improved over my previous Apple wifi. Streaming video, web page loading, and even sending emails with attachments all faster, more reliable. With the Apple system, the connect would sometimes slow to a crawl, or just fail and require reset. After four days, the Velop system not had any instances of reduced performance or nodes dropping off-line. I almost bought a two-node system because of cost, but I am very glad I went for three. My home is only 3100 sq ft, but it is two-level and kind of sprawling - full signal strength throughout, including the garage and most of the yard. The transformer/power plug for the nodes is very high quality, but it is a bit bulky. You may have to use a power strip (I didn't) in tight spaces. Completely satisfied with the purchase, and glad that I spent the money.

Color-coded Setup, Nothing Else to Rave About
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is suited for people who might not have a lot of skills and need to shift the wifi signal to parts of the house where it might not radiate or penetrate on it's own. I tested this in a single-story wood frame house so my observations might be more lenient than if I had done it in a 2-story block home. The setup was not complicated but would have been easier if they had explained that most of it is done with BLUETOOTH which means your phone running the setup app has to be real close to each "node" or router in the set. And if you have trouble to remember to press the factory reset button on ALL of them if you are starting over. You are given instructions based on the color of a blinking or steady light so you need to be NOT color blind. It gave marginally better signal in weak spots than any other router in my house, but what seems odd is that the measured internal network speed (not the internet speed) in windows was only 72Mbps, where it was 150 or so on the other 2 brands of wifi routers I have. It wouldn't matter for internet streaming in my case or nearly anyone's since your ISP is not giving you access to that kind of bandwidth anyway. What the Velop 3-node package does do is give the average person a way to "daisy-chain" 3 routers to give wifi access to more of the house without having to pay for a tech to come set it up. You can in the settings--phone access only :( .....give connected devices "priority" in bandwidth but this is a common feature now on many brands of routers.

Great Router for very large OLD home
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was amazingly simple to set up. The only thing I miss is the browser interface to customize the device. I already had the app on my phone for managing my own router, so this easily added into the app with a Bluetooth connection. I installed all three nodes in the house within an hour with time out for a beverage:) 4 people tested the wireless connections for several hours and everyone was pleased that the signal was strong and consistent throughout the house. The true test will come at Thanksgiving when everyone is home and streaming their own videos. Note, the home is a large Antebellum house with thick brick and plaster walls separating two main sections of the home. Previously, I used two decent routers with one as the main router, and the other being a decent router configured to act as an ethernet wired access point. Before installing this router, the speed degradation was offset by the fact that at least we could get a wireless signal when all 10 visitors were using some form of Wireless connection. Based upon the ease of use - one wireless signal to log into, the ease of installation, the consistent signal power throughout the house, I am thrilled with this solution and would highly recommend it especially for large old homes. It's probably overkill for smaller homes.

Execllent quality. Easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house over 3000 sq ft with two stories and the my modem sits in the front of the house. I am a big apple product person and therefore you guessed it I was using AirPort Extreme for my wireless solution in conjunction with two airport expresses. Now apple does a great job but it's not a true mesh that is, it does not use a separate antenna to compute with other base stations. Also express base rations do not extend 5 Ghz channels that well. So I did some research. Eero was my top choice until I walked into Best Buy and was introduced to linksys Velop. I decided not to buy and returned to do additional research. Velop promised more coverage and better speeds and for almost the same cost seemed like something I was willing to try. I bought it that evening, took me less then 30 minutes to set up. The app was glitchy sometimes setting up the satellite station but no problem, I started over. The third one was a breeze. Pros Speeds are excellent. I get download speeds of 300Mbs (gigabit internet connection:D) in all areas of the house. Seemlesly roam from one station to another. Sleek design. Cons Price- $499.99 is steep. As I said app was glitchy. But no problems since. As an IT professional I would like a bit more control of the system but the app doesn't allow it.

Fantastic Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Wi-Fi setup was a Linksys WRT 1900 ACS router and RE6700 extender. I've been using the Velop Whole-Home Wi-Fi product for about a week now. The foot print and the new design could not be better. For the first time, my wife allowed me to set the hardware on regular furniture and not hide everything behind a chair or in a cabinet. Pros - Super simple setup. Just download the app and your done in 5 minutes. (Note: I don’t have any cellphone service in certain parts of my house without my home network up and running. This was a minor issue during the setup) - The performance is 100% consistent and visibly faster to the eye. - Range will never be a problem. When I pull into the garage my phone connects immediately. If I walk outside to mailbox or go to the back of my lot (60’ from the back of my house & 75’ from the module), the signal is still as good as sitting in the den. - I have not experienced any reliability issues. All of my tech toys connect immediately and have worked better -> reliably, fast and anywhere I go in or around my house. Cons - Could have used 3 ethernet connections on the primary module. I still have some old equipment (PC and printer that I still use the wired connections) but also made me realize it’s time to upgrade some of the older stuff.
