Purchased this Wifi mesh systems to help my parents house out with wireless on 2 floor older home and wireless in the detached garage. The Linksys system was one my short list for their particular situation do to the ability to wired backhaul which their house has been fully wored in the past. Setup for this product was a breeze from the Android app, and the automatic firmware updates are great. It is also very very fast because of how little congestion is bottled on to the single access point, I finally feel like they are getting the total speed of their internet package on the wireless and the wired network. It also contains all the same wireless router administration we are all familiar with from owning prior Linksys devices so you can access it both through an app on the phone or on a web browser.

easy to set up. could see if getting confusing if you set up the nodes out of reach of one another, but our could see each other so it was really easy. so much better than the wifi extension. sad i waited so long to make this investment in our home.

This is a worry-free router. No more constant resets and plugging the power cable in and out. In the last 5 years of use, I reset the router twice. The app is also pretty easy to use.

I'll start off by noting that I am a tech savvy person. Set up was easy enough. You download the app and it walks you through everything pretty quickly. Speeds test good and with the three pods it covers my split level home better than any router I've had before. The only negative thing I can say about it, is that In the room where I have multiple devices, I would prefer a hardwire connection to avoid wifi completely. In that room is also my router. Each pod only has 2 Ethernet ports on them and in that room only one port is available seeing as the other needs to be the Ethernet from the router to modem. If possibly a design that has just one larger one with 4 or 5 Ethernet ports for situations like mine, it would be more convenient! Overall though good product!

So, I hooked up this Velop set up about a hour ago and WOW. Immediately it made a huge difference in speed. My Netflix loaded a full 4k movie in a snap. No waiting for it to buffer up to hd. Just wow. Also ran a speed test and noticed my speeds are all above 70mbs and steady as before they were only around 15mbs for the wifi. Very pleased with this set up. Thanks Linksys!!!

We have a 17,000 SqFt medical office building. There are lots of walls and rooms and the three nodes still covered the entire office. It was very easy to set up (minutes). The app software is also easy to use, no computer needed for setup.

I originally purchased an Orbi wifi system, and all seemed to be well. However, we discovered that the system had trouble with Apple devices disconnecting or not getting internet. After research into the issue we found several others with similar problems, and that the engineers were working on a software fix. Rather than wait it out, I returned the system and got the Velop system. Installation was a breeze. The companion app guided me through the setup and things were up and running in no time. The signal is solid throughout the house across all devices so far. I love being able to see who's connected and where via the app - this help us figure out where to best place the towers. Overall I'm very happy with the setup and would recommend it to anyone with a larger home that struggles with a single access point.

Set up and running in a few minutes. Great style and quality, packaging was nice as well. I dig the soft glow when connected and the futuristic look. I have tons of wireless devices through the our home and have had zero slowing issues and nothing has dropped yet which is a issue I usually have with in home wifi. Nice package and will be letting people know to buy it.

Prior to purchasing the Linksys Velop I was running a Netgear Nighthawk X6. That router worked great if we were within the general vicinity but going towards the back of the house we'd constantly experience lag. I then had to purchase a network extender which became tiresome switching from that Nighthawk to the extender. The drawback with the extender is that it and the Nighthawk varied in regards to their download speeds. The extender while it did help expand the network I was not getting the full benefit of my internet speed. Then Linksys released the Velop. Initially I was a bit hesitant just because it was new and untested. As I saw the reviews come out and read up more on the features I decided to take the plunge and purchase it. So far I have not been disappointed. We are now getting a consistent 100 Mbps throughout the entire house. I have run speed tests daily to see if the consistency is still there and so far it has exceeded my expectations. It has also helped me declutter my media area. Each Velop hub has an ethernet port so that I have installed a switch at each of them to move my Harmony hub, Smartthings and etc out of sight versus all being downstairs and creating an eyesore. Installation was relatively simple and quick. Took a few tries to connect the first one to the modem but after that it was incredibly easy using their app. Connection from what it appears is a soft handoff similar to cell phone towers. When one router has a weaker signal it will hand off to the stronger signal and the process is seamless. Some may complain that the router is big but I didn't think so. The fact that their vertical in my opinion helps save counter space versus taking it up. It does help that the design is sleek and stylish. Pros: -Eliminates need for network extenders. -Consistent Speeds -App ( could you use some polish and ability to maintain routers individually) -Stylish design fits most decor. -Soft handoff process so there's no slowdown during browsing. -Comparable to better network speeds than some of the best gaming routers out there. -App makes it easy to share password with guests or creating a guest network. Cons: -Definitely not the cheapest -App is a bit slow to load and register user. -Some may not be a fan of a router that sticks up like a tower.

This system is fantasitc. I had google wifi before and wow it was awful. This stability is amazing and extreme performance. I would say the only issue I have is with my ring doorbell. Some serious issues here and some definite digging to make this work. Some things like this could be a turn off and its great im tech savy. Other than that it is AMAZING!

Before Velop, I tried several options to improve the WIFI in my house without any significant or lasting success. I even considered hardwiring the house; instead, I thought I would try Velop's whole house option before doing anything drastic. The setup requires a bit of patience but it super easy. Plus, the location of the Velop nodes is easy to adjust if necessary. The performance difference was immediate and phenomenal. All of my devices connect quickly and easily and I get great speed on all of them. I can manage and check the status of my network and devices easily, from anywhere, through the app on my phone or on my computer. Velop saved me a lot of time, inconvenience, and - in the long term - money I would have to spend on other options. I have seldom been more satisfied with a purchase.

Great price and value on this product. The associate and her fellow associate at the electronic dept both said they had purchased and installed at their homes and it worked great. It was very easy to use the app to get the system up and running. My streaming of movies off my Roku have stopped buffering and play perfectly.

We purchased the Velop WiFi system at Best Buy when we went in to purchase a cheap WiFi range extender. They convinced us that Velop was the way to go. Wow! Were they right!! Our WiFi signals throughout our house are super strong now an unwavering. We couldn't be happier! Recommend this system to anyone who has a week cable company provided router.

Eureka. 16mbps in our guest house. We bought a Velop 2 pack based on advice from Best Buy representative. Previously we had to have a second cable service to get internet in the guest house because it was too far from the main house ( a little over 100 feet). Cost $65 a month for 15 mbps download. We tried two different range extenders that did not help. With the Velop 2 pack we get 16 mbps and we have tested with Hulu, Netflix on TVs and two computers all streaming simultaneously with no degradation, no buffering. iPhone calls via wifi no problem. Skype calls totally good. I'm no techie. The Linksys app made installation easy for me. I tried to read other reviewers comments about the app but I really don't understand their issues. 5 months payback on $300 investment works for me.

Super excited to try another mesh system! The Google wifi was THE EASIEST thing to setup. I have never had such a boring setup because all the complicated steps were hidden from the user and configuration was quick. With the velop, it became more of a headache. The initial app kept crashing and had issues in finding the nodes. I had to reset the nodes and reinstall the app before having any success. Configuration also was much slower than Google's. Additionally, the configuration ended up incorrect. The system chose not to use bridge mode which connected to my gateway caused issues where the whole system would lose internet access periodically. All in all though, now that I have it setup, I am definitely enjoying it. Some customers might have issues, especially if they're not the most patient in the world. But for the performance I'm getting out of it, definitely happy.

I have dsl due to remote location and was looking for better speed on the home Wi-Fi. Decided to try Velop after researching mesh Wi-Fi and this product was excellent. Setup was seamless with the app and signal strength is great all over the house with one network to manage. Replaced old router and boosters. This product is as advertised.

Purchased the 3 pack in white, not sure why they do not offer a 3 pack in black, connected to my Verizon router (make sure to turn off WiFi on Verizon Router) and paired the other Velops in the main living and the other 2nd floor. The results - no more dead spots and get the top internet speed 750 Mbps ( 1 Gbps speeds is my top speed)

This eliminated my wifi extender problems and was easy to install. WIFI speed and load times were noticeably faster...easily what felt like 25% improvement when close to my old router and a 50% improvement in the back of the house where I had an extender. Worth the "extra" to go to a mesh network vs a powerful router with an extender.

I love how easy it was to set up, great signal with parental controls built into the app. The design is sleek and much smaller then my onhub. I bought the two pack and only need one tower due to the range and signal strength.
