Great wifi coverage, but patience needed to setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this item 5 stars for the quality of the wifi speed and reach but 3 to 4 stars for ease of setup. I had to try about 3-4 times each in a different location to set up all 3 of the nodes properly for a 2500 sf home. The app was ok but I kept getting an error message about the node being too far out of range. I had to tweak location quite a bit. But now that it is setup, it has really doubled the range of my house wifi.

Works better than advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purschased this product for internet access to out buildings on a 3 acre property. I have 3 towers, each are about 120 feet apart. Set up was easy with the app and speed test is the same at all locations. I did maintain line of sight, the towers are placed in windows. Also, I found out that these towers can be connected via Ethernet cable for long runs, another bonus!!!

Home with two teenagers and lots of technology!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have many elements of a smart home (Nest, Ring, Sonos, etc) and two teenagers who love their technology as much as I do. On a given day my son can be on XBox or PlayStation while my wife is streaming Netflix and my daughter is on her computer and listening to her Sonos. Not to mention me on my computer or iPad. Prior to the Velop our Wifi was ok at best. There'd be some slight buffering or lag. We all noticed the difference with the Velop. So fast!

Apple and Comcast users
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Google WiFi first based on a Best Buy employee’s recommendation. Had to return due to not working well with Apple and Comcast. Purchased the Velop and it works great with iPhones and iPads. The speed stays consistent and no issues at all with multiple devices connected at the same time. Easy setup and highly recommend for both Comcast and apple users. Don’t forget to bridge your router once you have completed the set up.

Insane Speeds - No Dead Zones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a router for about two years and was only getting speeds up to about 65mbps, when I'm paying for 150mbps. Read a lot about the Velop systems and immediately wanted to buy one. Bought it, arrived quickly, and was so easy to set up! My entire house is completely covered, including our backyard area where we have parties and such. I'm consistently getting 170mbps, no matter where I am in my house. So happy with this purchase and would highly recommend!

Faster wifi speeds at very high price!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Velop 3 node system for almost a month now. Here are my thoughts for this system. Pros: 1. Faster wifi speeds: I had "ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router" before and the max wifi speeds that I used to get on 5G band was around 60 Mbps (I have comcast blast 150 Mbps package). After installing the "Velop" system, I am able to get 200-235 Mbps wifi speeds in pretty much whole house. 2. Increased wifi coverage: I live in a colonial-split type of home which has altogether 4 levels. With my old ASUS router there were areas on the bottom and top levels where wifi signal was either non-existant or too weak. Now, as I have setup one Velop unit on each top 3 levels, there are no dead zones and wifi speed is consistent across the whole house. Cons: 1. App The velop system can be setup and managed only via "linksys" app. The app has limited features and even the supported features don't work all the time. For example, I was trying to do speed test after installing the system and the "speed test" feature died on me 3 times. The other example of limited feature set is that I can block specific sites on my son's tablet but the apps for the same sites still work. 2. Setup For me, the setup was not smooth at all. For a system with a retail price of $500, I would like to have much better setup experience. I was able to configure the first velop node without any problems. But when I tried to install the next two, they were not able to communicate with the first one. I had to try multiple times at various distance to make them talk to each other. 3. Price At $500 (for 3 nodes), it is the most expensive wifi "system" on the market. Given the above two issues, I don't think that it justifies the price. Bottomline: Velop delivers what it promises i.e. faster wifi speeds and a far greater range. But I think it is priced high for the features that it provides. I will not recommend it at it's current price ($500 for 3 node system) but if the price goes down and feature set is improved, it will be worth the buy.

Wanted stable whole house wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup doesn't get any easier. If you don't know anything about setting up a wifi network. This is for you. Download the app. Run it and do as it tells you. Voila! Whole house wifi. So far only problem I have had. One of the nodes lost connectivity during the night. It had corrected itself without intervention, but the app was still trying to correct a problem that no longer existed. I had to restart my phone in order to correct that. No real big deal.

Amazing Enterprise Performance with Easy Set-up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Velop Whole-Home Wi-Fi system completely redefines home networking. I was using the latest routers and repeaters prior to this and they seem archaic in comparison. I can now get the same performance in every corner of my 3-level home and even at the neighbors up to 2 houses away. The only thing I had to tell it was the name and password that I wanted for the network. The set-up was as simple as downloading the latest Linksys App and following the directions on the app. The app told me what wires to connect and when and took care of all the set-up. I am using 1 node on each of the 3 floors in my home that app just told me what to do for each one, including telling me if I placed the node in a good spot. The performance is amazing and is something I had only seen before at locations using enterprise wireless equipment. My devices receive the same bandwidth and network regardless of where I am in the home. My devices no longer need to switch from the router to a repeater and back with degrading performance as I went farther from the router. Most impressive is that I have been running the system for 3 weeks now and I have not had any performance issues or needed to reset the network. I have 8 computers, 3 playstation/xbox systems and 8 phones/pads. It is not unusual for 4 video streams to be downloading and playing at the same time that there is also an internet video call going on. With even the best of traditional Routers and repeaters, the very heavy usage on my network often brought the prior systems to their knees and forced me to reset them almost daily. I can no longer even imagine using the traditional router and repeater Wi-Fi systems again for my home.

Multi level home Wifi solved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive, so i was happy with the easy setup, nice looking product, instant improvement. APP is simple to use and monitors everything easily where ever you are. The cost of home service from GCI and not getting the speed and full home coverage has been frustrating, this add on seems to help the over all signal, plus having GCI come out to service the lines to the house cleaned up the signal noise and unused coax causing additional issues.

It's a keeper!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought with such small nodes, the wifi quality wouldn't be as good as a router. This system proved me wrong, and throughout my 4200 sq ft home, the wifi never goes down more than one signal bar. There is even great coverage outdoors for the patio area. The only reason for the 4 star rather than 5 is because the setup was a little troublesome. The app kept getting stuck in different places and the nodes were finiky to get added to the network. But once all is said and done, she is meeting the demands of a large house with many smart items connected. I might even add more nodes just because the look cool.

Posted .Hi, dbickpg,
We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the great Wi-Fi coverage provided by our new Velop System. What you've experienced during the setup process might be due to an outdated Linksys App. For smooth setup, we recommend downloading the latest App versions, 2.1.1.201178 for iOS, and 2.1.1.2011502 for Android. In case you are already using the latest Linksys App, we hope you could provide us more details as to what parts of the setup process the app got stuck and if you encountered any error messages. This will help us check and improve the app as we move forward.
If you do not mind sharing us the details, please call 800-986-0518 or email us at [email protected], anytime.

Linksys velop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the product. Once everything was plugged in, it only took 10 minutes to program both nodes. The app is very easy and I am able to control each electronic device, their connection and for kids, their time on the Internet. Due to each node only having 2 ethernet ports, from reading the contents, I also purchased a switch. Everything is running very smooth and I have full Wi-Fi throughout my 2400 square-foot home.

Great coverage and super easy to install.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our new home is about 4,000 sq feet and the local "cable" company provided us a wireless router that only covered about 1/3 of our house. We found this and had it installed in less than 30 minutes for all three pods and LOVE it. We have strong, stable signal in the entire house now inside and out. The set-up is led off a great app on your phone and is super easy to use. I would strongly recommend this great new Linksys product.

Best Router System I've Ever Used
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router's can be a fickle beast for me. I've spent a lot of money on different one with 8-10 antennae that look like giant spiders. Only to have certain parts of my house still without a strong signal. Enter the Velop system from Linksys and it seems that my woes have been cured. Everywhere I go in the house now the signal is strong and doesn't seem to drop off at all. The most important aspect for me was online gaming with my xbox one and its boosted my signal by 80%!! Installation on this product was an absolute breeze. Pretty sure my mom could have set this up and she's VERY technology challenged. The future of Wifi is now and its Velop!

Excellent Product!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say Linksys has an awesome product here. I live in a large victorian home that has plaster walls. I tried several products before this with ok coverage. With the demand of iPhones, iPads, iMacs, MacBooks and Smart Tv's we wanted something better. We was experiencing problems with internet speeds so the technician from our provider recommended we get a different router. (Problem is they don't get us near the speed we pay for) I went ahead and purchased the Linksys EA9500. This is an awesome product as well but I need coverage in my detached garage. So I returned the EA9500 and purchased an orbi. We placed one on the main floor and the second one on the second floor. Work well but not the coverage we was hoping especially in the garage area. So I found the Linksys Velop. Was able to place one node on the main floor of the house. Second node on the second floor of the house. Third node in the Man Cave of the garage. I have awesome coverage with hardly any speed loss.
