Finally hi speed WIFI everywhere
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read Many reviews. Reviewers seemed to have a slight preference for the Netgear ORBI so I purchased one. Most devices connected but could never get my Galaxy S8+ to connect. Tried new phone, new ORBI, tech support. I finally took the ORBI back and bought the VELOP. Everything works! Near wired speeds all over my house. Highly recommend VELOP.

Powerful System
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Velop system directly from Linksys and I must say that this system is a monster! Setup was a breeze from my cell phone and I was up and running in a matter of minutes. I have 3 nodes and I have full bars through my home. I highly recommend this system over the the other competitors. Linksys, you've done a great job with Velop!

Reliable Wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 4,000 square foot home where my cable provided wifi router reception was spotty. The wifi signal would drop. I installed the Velop and it has been reliable every day. The wifi speed throughout the house is consistent. Setup was easy. Only downfall is the price, but with the headaches I was having I was obviously ready to pay anything.

Two Thumbs Up - Highly Recommended`
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys Velop (3 pack) I installed this product on 02/09/18 and so far it has solved the issues I had getting good wifi signal on the upper levels of my home. It was an extremely easy process. I used the existing Verizon Gateway Router ("VGR") SSID and PW to avoid reconnecting several smart home devices. I first installed one node to the VGR, then I turned off the wifi on the VGR. I then installed the remaining two nodes, one in the kitchen and one in a loft overlooking a MBR. So far I have over 27 connected devices and I am not having the buffering and slow connection on the upper levels that I experienced before. The only issue so far is that I have 4 Nest Protect and all are connected to the node in the basement despite closer proximity to other nodes. I performed a wifi speed test and I was blown away by the significant improvement. A few recommendations: - minor but a big pet peeve, improve the icons for the various devices; the icons are dated. - should have a USB port. So far it is money well spent, no more headache with dead zones. I wish I had purchased this before instead of wasting money on a range extender.

System is very unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 4 story 4,500 square ft home. Bought a Velop 3 pack and then added 2 more nodes when remote nodes kept going in and out of connectivity. System is still flaky. Spent hours on the phone w tech support. Have reloaded from scratch, reflashed nodes at Techs direction and still the base station is the only node I can always count on. There are no diagnostics tools in the smartphone or web app of any value. It will tell you a node is disconnected but not why. Linksys won’t return it and I am now outside of Best Buy return policy after spending hundreds of dollars and hours of time trying to get it to work consistently. I am a former Cisco exec and liked the idea of this mesh network product but it is poorly executed. Check out the Linksys blogs and you will see many similar stories. Run, don’t walk from the Linksys Velop solution.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I both work from home with laptops on wifi and our son needs a hardwire connection for gaming. We have a 5200 sf house. We are able to work anywhere including the back yard with no issues. We also do many business meetings via skype and we have a clear uninterrupted meeting! Love this should have done this a long time ago!

Wi-Fi Boost
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this at the recommendation of the Geek Squad. Our internet speed was really slow before adding these routers. We got rid of cable so we needed more reliable internet speed for better streaming. It has made a tremendous difference! We actually purchased the two towers because of the size of our house. It has been sufficient.

Looks Good, But feels like I was Beta testing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First node went fine, second node went fine, third node acted up. Once I got it going wirelessly, set it up to use Ethernet per manufacturers instructions. This worked but I noticed major drops in speed and node switching was almost non existent. This happened while it was set up wirelessly as well. App is useless, showed devices connected to wrong nodes, and wouldn't show some devices that were connected, I could ping these using the app, but wouldn't show them connected. This makes parental controls useless. Some forums are telling people to ignore the app....What? Linksys pushes the app from the get go, and makes the user hunt for the web interface, which doesn't seem to have all the same features as the app. This system was supposed to replace a well functioning Linksys EA9500. The app for that works fine. This app for this system, not so much. I would log in and it would show 10 devices connected, close the app and restart immediately and it would show 18 devices connected. It would report node disconnection when there was none. One node would get bypassed altogether by every device even if it was right next to it, the only way to get something to connect to it was to force it by shutting wifi off on the device and then turning back on. Even then after a few moments it would disconnect and move to any other node. These were not placed in a bad spot, was told by set up app that placement was,"just right". I even ordered three more nodes thinking I got a bad batch, and was planning on returning the first three. I tried every configuration for an entire weekend. Reset to factory settings, reinstalled, etc. etc., but no go, same issues as the first three. I really wanted this to work. When You look at the forums you will see that every problem I ran into, is listed and talked about, These are not new problems. This is a very competitive market for mesh systems and it seems like Linksys rushed this out for people to buy and they would fix the problems as they came in. A very Microsoft way of during things. For the price that's charged for these, you would think they would have tested this a little more thoroughly. I like Linksys, I have only used Linksys routers and switches but this product for me is a HUGE fail. I packed all six up nodes and returned to best buy. Unpacked my EA9500, which I had already set to factory settings to sell, and hooked it back up using the smart wifi app. Was up and running in 6 1/2 minutes...yes, I timed it. I would recommend holding off buying this until these issues have been addressed. Do your own research and you'll see.

Excellent Product

Speedy and simple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup could not be simpler. The app walks you through the process. Speeds all over the house are four times faster than prior to install. Haven’t found a dead zone yet. It’s not cheap but with everything being streamed it will save much frustration from watching that wheel spin. Very happy with this system.

WiFi All Over
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this product so much. Wifi is able to reach throughout my home. I used all 3 Nodes to help me get a great coverage. My PlayFi speaker can go all the way to my backyard and have my smart tv not lose connection. My favorite feature is that each node got two Ethernet ports so I can hardwire devices to it.

Get the most from your internet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Velop system significantly increased the range, dependability, and speed in my home. My wife and I have many connected devices in our house and we've noticed a big difference in how much faster apps work and how much better the range is outside our house. Best of all, this system was super easy to set up. Great app Linksys!

Best Buy rep steered us right. Easy and it works!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super helpful and knowledgeable Best Buy rep gave us the most helpful advice about the various wireless routers we were considering to replace our 7 month-old NetGear which died. The Linksys Velop Tri-Band 2 pac was easy to set-up and has been working beautifully since our 9/03 purchase.

Really Nice Improvement for your wi-fi network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I reviewed several competitors before ultimately purchasing the Linksys Velop System. The look, design, and feel of each router are stunning and functional. The top releases most of the heat so be mindful. When it comes to setting up the systems, after downloading the application, it will take time while. But, after completing the set of the main router, the rest are pretty straight forward. There is no online GUI to manage this system; all administrative duties are through the app. Hopefully, Linksys can change this with a firmware update. On youtube you will find others who can access a web interface; however, you will need the correct firmware version for this workaround. Cox is my ISP provider, and I have the ultimate package with 300Mbps download and 30Mbps upload package. I consistently receive 125Mbps download and 35Mbps upload and have gotten as much as 275 down and 40 up on the wireless network… I am running a 1st gen HP Spectre x360 with an AC wireless adapter. By Cat5 I was able to reach 330Mbps. Now, I this is with the user of a Surfboard DOCSIS 3.1 modem. I look forward to expand IOT within my home with this system.
