Easy entry mesh networking.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup took a little longer than I was expecting, but overall a great product. Been up and running for three days, and once I ran the "Channel Finder" after setting everything up, speeds were great and the network here at home has never been faster! Another great Linksys product to added to my collection.

Great support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it when it's up, but have had issues with setup (apparent modem compatibility) and more recently with satellite nodes dropping connection. Reachable and knowledgeable support is the reason I kept the system. It has been fairly reliable and it is very nice when functioning.

Posted .Hi, Dash,
It is good to hear that you are now enjoying your connection through the Velop System despite your challenges with the setup process. The dropping connection is possibly caused by network traffic due to the other networks in the area. To stabilize your connection, running the Channel Finder on the app could help. Email us at [email protected] with your phone number and the link to this post so we can have our Escalation Engineers assist you further.

Seamless whole house solution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Velop system. It configures with an app on your phone or tablet. First the node connected to your modem then the other free standing nodes. My 3-node system was up in about 30 minutes. Now it's 125 Mbps download from anywhere. I'm getting all the cable will give me.

One SSID now covers my home
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have a Linksys WRT1900ac and a Linksys extender with different SSID names. I would have to change from one to the other as I moved around the house. Now one SSID in this mesh network covers me wherever I am. No need to change as I move from area to area. This definitely makes life easier!

Happy Customer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this product about 3 years ago. We have a house that’s over 3k sq ft and we’re a family of 5. Everyone has at least two devices. We installed two nodes and it gives excellent coverage. The only issue that I had was installation. I am not super technical but I can navigate some things well. Called Linksys support and they were able to help me get connected. The best part - three years later the system stopped working due to an upgrade to the main router by my cable company. I called Linksys support and, again, they walked me through the solution. Everything works great! Linksys backs their product and provide excellent support.

Easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very reliable and extremely easy to set up. Mobile app needs to be refined and features need to be added to be on par with the line of Eero. Unlike the Eero though much better suited for most set ups in multi level houses. Sppedtest are proving that we have excellent coverage through out the home.

Didn't work for me... ORBI Did
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5,000 SF - 3 story home... the Velop was fairly easy to set up and has a nice app but the satellites could not stay connected with one another. The basement walkout level couldn't get a signal period. I returned for the ORBI system and have been very happy with it.

Posted .Hi, OllieK,
The connectivity issue that you experienced with your Velop System might be due to improper placement of the child nodes. We regret to hear that you already returned the product. We could have tapped one of our Escalation Engineers to work closely with you to ensure that your Velop is working to its full potential. Should you wish to give it another chance in the future, we're just an email away at [email protected].

Good Product - Setup took longer than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only down side was having to use an android or ios device to setup. After we got them setup there was a firmware update that left both machines having to be reset and then setup all over again. A 30 minute install took over 2 hours. BUT the product works like a dream.

Velop is so easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased an Orbi and used it at home prior to purchasing a Velop for a another business. My non-techie sister bought one and found it easy to use. What made me decide to buy this for my current needs is the UI which allows me to easily change the guest PW and guest AP name. For my Orbi install (which I have no problem as well) I couldn't do it in the App and read that I have to do it through the browser version (have no need to do so since it's installed at home so no experience to share on that or if it's even possible). Having bought a 3-node velop in my small BnB, I was pleased not only by the ease of configuring the guest access, but was surprised that I could change it also via the app remotely automatically. I had thought that I still had to configure remote access via the browser. This was a very nice feature that was not highlighted by the reviews clearly nor by the Best Buy guys. Usually buy from Amazon but went to BestBuy to talk to their staff and also buy several more things.

Great system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought a 3 node system for our 3400 square foot, 2 story house. The three node system covers the entire house and provides strong signals. Set up was a snap! Just follow the instructions via the app and you'll have no problems. I would definitely buy this product again. Highly recommended!

Excellent coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace an AC2600 Linksys router, and so far my experience with it is flawless. I've had no drops on my signal, and I've had coverage all over my house and even further than that. I recommend anyone who is looking to not purchase multiple extenders to purchase this set.

Too cute by half
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had wireless networking equipment in my home and office for close to 20 years. I've upgraded from the wonderful blue and black linksys wireless router that refused to quit but became a choke point in wireless communications. Until about two years ago, I considered myself a Linksys customer. That changed at work when I found Linksys equipment was not nearly as good as it was a decade ago. So, I've become a netgear buyer who has had zero problems with their superior hardware. And then I happened to have a chance to test this new mesh system - mesh being the in vogue technosnob term - so I went for the test and found that once again Linksys has let me down. What happened to PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS? In order to install this you have to have a phone app - and even then the instructions are almost non-existant. I found that once I installed the app that just being two feet away from the initial "tower" was too far. In order to get this to work at all, I had to be inches away. By this time of the installation, my netgear items were already working without a problem. But not so with this system! If the app weren't bad enough (small print to read even a smart phone - and I wear glasses), the instructions didn't really do much. I know the basics, but there is no way to tell which of the two ethernet connections was the one to install the cable coming from the modem. I guessed the logical one on the left and had no internet connection. To make matters worse, instead of having an on screen area for the id and password, you have to turn the tower back on its top and contort to read this information. After three attempts, I finally got the password right - I'm a 50 something nerd with glasses and I'll be damned if I could read it. Regardless of what device I tried to access this, I could connect, but got no internet connection. We are talking about a $500 collection of equipment and it failed to do what a $99 Netgear item did in less time and effort -and it had printed instructions. The net here is that the system is packed up and ready to give away to someone who doesn't know what they are doing. You see, nothing about this is intuitive - and I shouldn't have to watch someone else's youtube video on how to hook this up. Linksys has really pulled a fast one here - once know for being straightforward and bullet proof, they have concocted something you have to use a phone to set up and then have to turn over to get the access information. I didn't even test the mesh part because the first tower still couldn't access the internet. And I hooked the Netgear system I have back up and it worked flawlessly. Save your money. Don't fall for the cute and the vogue technosnob appeal of this.

Posted .Hi, laserwizard,
Your story caught our attention since this is not the experience that we wanted you to have from Linksys. It's odd that your devices could connect to your Velop, but got no internet connection. If you still have the product, we're eager to have one of our Escalation Engineers resolve the issue you've raised and help you achieve a great Wi-Fi experience with the product. Hoping to hear from you soon at 800-986-0518 or via email at [email protected] with your contact details and the link to this post.

Another non windows friendly device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited to get this product as my home has several dead spots making it inconvenient to skype or surf anywhere I wanted. The premise is simple, plug in one and then place the others evenly throughout the space to provide even coverage. This is provably the most elegantly packaged device I have ever opened. They have taken great care to ensure it arrives with no damage. Quite frankly the packaging is almost too beautiful to tamper with to remove the devices enclosed. The issue is (and I complain about this more than I should need to) is that the app which is apparently required to complete installation only works in iOS and Android. I'll try not to rant too much but it is irritating that there seems to be no other alternate way to get this going with all the features. I am and will be a windows guy Phone, tablet and PC. I will at some point be able to complete installation at which time I will update this review.

Fast and easy set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Velop is great. Read lots of reviews about this and others. Decided to go with Velop. The set up was super easy and I have strong fast Wi-Fi in my whole house, about 4000 sqft with the 3 node package. The App is also easy to read and access. Definitely recommend even though price tag.

Very Nice..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't usually jump right in but this was the best Out of Box experience in awhile. Open, instruct to load App, follow setup, installed update, personalize and Done. Clean product, easily fits in with decor, barely noticeable, and they work great.. What else do you want...

Easy setup via app on phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to setup and manage router via the Linksys app on my iPhone. The firmware update took longer then the setup of the router did lol. Had everything up and running in less than 10 minutes. I love the device prioritization feature to make sure no one messes with my gaming :)
