I called customer support, spoke to Loby, she was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and spent nearly and hour on the phone with me getting my nodes set up. The first one I tried to set up was defective as a master, but was able to use it as slave. Loby stayed on line with me until I had everything working.

I have very few devices on the wifi network, by having a switch and a LAN connection to every room in the house to smart TVs. The Wifi signal Bars are always all the way there but the speed is an issue. I pay for 100MBPS speed but I can not get one of my chromecasts to have a decent stream from HBO Go

For such an expensive system, it's very painful to think about giving up and writing off the expense. Our issues: dropped and inconsistent connections, devices connecting to the furthest node, nodes will intermittently have a dribble of bandwidth. Support suggested that it was just a buggy firmware update causing our problems, and that we should wait for the update. After that didn't work, we thought it might be that bodes could connect reliably through walls, and now have five nodes. Same problems - incredibly disappointed and wish I'd found a review that would point me in a better direction.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The performance of the Linksys AC2200 router (misnamed by Linksys as a "AC6600" if you buy three). is adequate but not impressive when compared to the Apple AirPort Extreme towers. I had thought I would replaced my APEs and would have likely kept the Velops as the performance was not much less than the APEs if the Velop had the homekit capability it promised. As it sits, no home kit... they were returned. Better performance, better range, and better network management with the APEs which were built before the whole "mesh" craze hit and still outperform the mesh routers by far. If you don't have Apple AirPort Extreme towers or time machines, then this is a decent product. If your internet connection doesn't exceed 500Mb/s then you would be better off with the Eeros with HomeKit compatibility and access points half the physical size.
