Check out the Linksys forums....there are thousands of people who have connectivity issues that cannot be solved with advanced tech support. Buyer beware....this system has a known issue that Linksys can't solve. At any given time, multiple devices will drop from the network and won't reconnect for 30 minutes or more. If you want to spend 12+ hours on the phone with Linksys tech support (nice people by the way), then take the leap. Otherwise, buy something else.

I have owned many wireless routers before and I have never had as strong of a connection until I got this product.

The velop is the best while home wifi network I've ever owned. I have a 3200 SqF house and there is not one dead spot.

Troublesome to get a good signal throughout a one story home with basement. Finally replaced it with a mesh router from my ISP.

I purchased this setup after reading numerous reviews on the Luma, Eero and AmpliFi whole-home WiFi systems. What steered me towards the Linksys was a lot of reviewers were talking about the lack of speeds on the Eero, the poor integration of features on the Luma and the lack of LANs on the AmpliFi (I need LANs for my HUE bridge which is in another room from the WAN drop-in). After receiving the Linksys, the setup was a little bumpy - it took a few tries for it to find the nodes, but upon finding them, it knew which was the main "router" per say and which was the node and I should clarify that I'm in a 900 square foot apartment, so I could've even went with a single Velop, but as previously stated, I needed the LAN for the HUE and another device in another room. After getting everything setup, everything worked as expected and I decided to run a speed test. I just upgraded to gigabit and after running numerous speed tests, I discovered I'm only averaging around 250MB/s out of a possible 940MB/s. So to rephrase, in an apartment where I'm no more than 25 feet away from either node at any given time, I've averaging less than a third of my total potential bandwidth speeds. I disconnected the Velop and re-enabled the WiFi on my modem/router box and re-ran the speed test and I was averaging over 900MB/s. I tried hooking up my old router and once, again I was averaging over 800MB/s. The only logical conclusion that I could draw is that there's an innate issue with these whole-home WiFi systems, where, even though they are improving RANGE, it's at the sacrifice of SPEED. And because most routers can be bridged to create a mesh-like experience (albeit without the steering and some of the other advanced "mesh" features), you could easily accomplish the same thing with say two AirPort Extremes with one set as a "router" and the other "bridged" in. And price-wise, you would spend about the same as this setup, as you can get Extremes refurbished for $129 online. Bought June 2018. Quit working February 2023. For the price I expected it to work much longer. It is not like it is handled. They were placed by geek squad and not moved.

Solved our wifi issue. Now have coverage for the entire house. Tried extenders but didn't got the coverage

Words twice as well as Xfinity's Cable Modem, allows you to have full Band width everywhere in the house.

Couldn't be happier with the Velop and the set up process. Have already talked 2 friends in to getting one.

Continue to make it stronger and better, I had to buy 5 units to cover the entire house.

System user since 10/2017, overall fair system, but not average and definitely not excellent. I have five nodes. Every week without fail, at least 1-2 nodes will go offline. The "magic" light is still that "blue/green", everything is OK color, but the system alerts me that this node is offline. I turn it off, wait a few seconds, turn it on and voila, it reconnects. This is not a single user problem. Searching on multiple platforms https://community.linksys.com/t5/Velop-Whole-Home-Wi-Fi/Nodes-keep-going-offline/td-p/1427623 it apparently has caused a lot of other users to have issues. Linksys Technical Support does not have a fix. If they have a fix, let's see it. I would recommend this product, but with the caveat mentioned here.

The Velop system is great. We are able to connect to the 5ghz network throughout our 2500 sq ft home

I just bought the Linksys Velop system. It did not set up easily due to outdated technology. I had to spend over 2 1/2 hours with tech support from Linksys to get it to work for my home. The firmware was older so it was not an easy setup, It is now working and everyone is happy with a faster internet setup.

Perfect for a large home with multiple Wifi users throughout, utilizing HD content in many forms.
