Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected all three nodes work exactly the same way but when I measure the Internet speed on them, two of them give me the maximum bandwidth (100MBPS) but the one that is farther away gives me half of that. I thought as ling as they can communicate with each other, they would provide the same amount of bandwidth!

It's not right that the farthest node gives half of the internet speed since the Velop Mesh System operates as a singular network that works a 100% seamless connection throughout your home. I was getting 330mbps on a hard wire connection to parent node but only getting 200mbps wireless to the same parent node. On the closest child node I was only getting 100mbps and at the farthest node only 50mbps. I spent over 4 hours on the phone with tech support. They had me testing, resetting, testing, over and over with no end in sight. I had to get pushy for the last hour, saying I just wanted a new device and a credit for all the time I spent on the troubleshooting. Eventually they conceded and will be sending me a new device, but they will not issue any credit for spending 4+ hours trying to make their product work. This seems like a very poor customer service approach to me. I probably should have bought the Netgear device, I have a feeling I wouldn't have had all of these problems...
