The Linksys tri-band mesh wifi system works great. After downloading the Linksys app, the set up was easy. The three "nodes" cover the house well. Prior to installing them, wifi in the house was spotty or even nonexistent some rooms. These have definitely solved the problem and made everyone much happier.

I have not been happy with my Apple AirPort Extreme. I would buy a movie on iTumes and it would take four hours to download. After reading reviews I purchased the Linksys Velop Tri-band system with two routers. Setup was a breeze as I named the system the same as my old one. Wow, what a difference in my Wi-Fi! Downloading movies is now instantaneous. I highly recommend this product.

Hello All, I hardly ever write a negative review but when it is warranted, I feel that I should at least give some feedback on my experience with this Velop from linksys. Just to lay down some tech spec background, I currently have Verizon Fios as my ISP and while setting this device up and following the very minimal instructional piece of paper, I was having issues connecting and staying connected. After hours of trouble shooting with the tech support, we finally went into the velop router setting to disable IPv6. This seems to work for a bit about a few days... then the internet would keep dropping. I placed these exactly in the same spot of a Gen1 Samsung home mesh system which is several years older and would think that the coverage would be better. Unfortunately, child nodes kept dropping and even the Parent node. After multiple reset and tries and even switching to bridge mode, it only functioned for a few days. I then thought, perhaps it was the range and went out and bought 3 more and place them closer to the Parent node. However, that did not last long as well as it kept dropping again and again and as a remote worker now, it was exhausting having to reset my nodes all the time just to get it to work for a day or two before crashing and sometimes hours in between. I honestly gave it my best try by spending soo much time with tech support, even going out and buying more to have the child nodes a little closer to the parent nodes and it still kept dropping. I had to return this product and after tech support and buying more nodes and giving it a solid try, I gave up on the Velop and went with another product instead. I really would have liked to have it working but unfortunately, it was not meeting my needs or expectations. For those that may be using a wifi/router from your internet provider, one of the trouble shooting method was use it in bridge mode. Again, it worked for a few but then kept dropping again and again. Really wish it worked as returning products and spending so much time and buying even more of it was exhausting and time consuming. Hope this experience helps bring some insight to those looking for a home mesh system.

Still had dead spots in the house, same as non-mesh router it replaced. Speed seemed good but inconsistent. Not enough ports, would like usb for NAS. Also didnt have network monitor. Returned it for Asus mesh router.

My modem/router are in the basement so wifi on the 2nd story was a myth. With this mesh system, I was able to put one receiver on each level of the house and disregard the router wifi. The speed still isn't a full 100% from the basement to 2nd story, but it's significantly better than without it.

I was bouncing back and forth between this and Google WiFi. Let’s just say I’m not disappointed in my decision. With just two nodes I have strengthened the WiFi in my 3400sqft Home tremendously. Believe me it works I get consistent average of 290gbps, even though I’m only rated for 250gbps by my service provider. Only trouble I had was with setup, but after that no problems.

We decided to buy this since we were having trouble with the WiFi signal reaching the back bedroom where we have an iMac and the printer. The house is not large but the number of walls and a long hallway the signal was weak. After about 15 minutes of reading instructions and placing the units we were up and running.
