I've been working in IT for 20+ years and haven't had more trouble than getting this system running well. I originally tried to operate it in bridge mode using my current router but it took a Loy of playing around and multiple resets to get the nodes up and synced. Always had trouble getting the third one going even when I switched them around and they aren't more than one room apart. I finally decided to get third of my current router. Took another full night but I finally got all 3 going well. There are a couple known issues with these. You can not turn off the very bright LED light on the node. A problem if it's in your bedroom. Second, you can not choose which node to connect a device to or force 5GHz unless you set it up with separate 2.5 and 5 GHz signals. This can be a real pain.

These worked great and were easy to set up using the app. I loved my Wi-Fi signal, full strength throughout my house. But 1 month later (almost to the day) the whole system just crashed for no apparent reason. 2 of the nodes won't stay connected to the main router. The 3rd says it's connected but it doesn't seem to extend the Wi-Fi signal at all. When trying to connect to the Wi-Fi, I often get the message "Incorrect Password" even though the password is 100% correct. I'm very frustrated with this. I really wanted to give a 5 star review, but this new problem has really soured me.

This cost close to $500 but it did not even perform to the same standard as a sub $50 alternative. I was convinced at the local Bestbuy store by a Magnolia specialist that it was the porch of wifi networking routers. After close to 45 minutes of education and demonstration of its functionalities and the "great" value, I caved in and purchase the velour 3 system. I have AT&T 1GB service so the plan was to set my ism-provided router/modem combo to modem only, and use this as the main router in my 2-story house. I also have two apple AirPort Extreme (1st and 2nd gen) located in two separate locations in the house to increase wifi spread. main modem and velour were located in the game room on first floor where it was devoid of any wall interferences. Pre-velop, I was getting 500Mbps-650Mbps wired internet to the AT&T modem combo. 5Ghz Wif range from 250-320Mbps around the house helped by the two Apple airport extremes. Post-Velop, ethernet bandwidth dropped to 320-380Mbps. Wifi was about 200-250Mbps on the main node and a disgraceful 50-80Mbps on the two secondary and tertiary nodes. Speed several hours on the phone with Linkys tech support and they gave excuse that it was the AT&T modem that was not supplying enough to power the velop optimally. I was advised to contact AT&T to change the modem since I was paying for 1Ghz service which truly I was no where getting. Well, I did just that and new modem installed, without Velop, ethernet bandwidth increased to 960Mbps/890Mbps download/upload and wifi was peaking at 680Mbps/720Mbps. Installed Velop nodes again, and the highest speed was 390Mps/420Mbps on main node and 120Mbps-180Mps on secondary nodes. I have since returned the Velop and replaced it with the Linkys AC5300 4k router which initially had the same speed issue on first install but after getting Linksys support, I am now getting a decent 940Mbps/380Mbps down/up on ethernet and about 380Mbps/170Mbps down/up on Wifi at close range. Still very wifi poor speeds when not in close proximity to the AC5300 compared to stable and commendable 350+ speed from the modem/router directly. I am debating whether I truly need the Ac5300 now since my isp modem/router combo is doing a great job. Only reason why I want to keep the AC5300 is because of the other features such as parental control and device prioritization features. Even those are buggy at times as it does not work as advertised, which the Linksys support also acknowledged as known issues.

VERY GOOD SYSTEM WOULD RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY

My house is large and has dead spots, so I was eyes several options. I talked to a salesman and he mentioned these are the ones he has and he loved them. Also, it saved me aboutn$200 as these things rock. My daughter's room went from nearly zero wifi to 95/95. The only issue I have is there is only one direct connect.

Where we live the internet is much to be desired. Bought this gadget to help with getting better wireless internet throughout the house. Easy to set up with an ap on your phone to see how it is running. It has helped with wireless service and have not been kicked out as much as before.

These work great and two was plenty for my 3000 sqft house

Good system for the home. Really easy setup and connection.

Not a good mesh system if you have smart home devices such as cameras or demo devices. This mesh system isn't user configurable to keep these devices active, so they end up losing connectivity several times per day.

Great signal strength/coverage though there is one overall major Achilles heel... The construction is horrible and if you even breath on the unit the AC adapter will fall out of the bottom of the unit causing it to lose power. Very poor design if running hardwire at all since the CAT cable presses right against the adapter and seems like that port is probably mounted with hot glue or souly the solder joint. Will likely return.

Had this for about 2 months now, works great so far.

The easiest thing I have ever had to set up. Truly outstanding

Gives solid coverage to large home. The radiant barrier has caused other products to produce large dead zones., not the Velop though! Initial configuration could have gone smoother. Had an issue that required a firmware update and complete restart of the setup. Customer service was good and resolved the issue quickly.

I have been a long time Airpot Extreme user and fan, after moving into a new 2 story house over 4000 sq ft on half an acre it was time to upgrade the WiFi. After reading a lot of reviews and comparing multiple website recommendations, I went with the Linksys Velop system 3 pack. After set up and testing I was disappointed to see my speeds dropped in half from my aging Apple router! Tried all the troubleshooting before exchanging it for the Eros Pro 3 pack, what a difference! Double the speed of the AirPort Extreme with the nodes in the same spot as the Velop system, SOLD! Save your time and money and get the best with the Eeros. Hope to save you some headaches...

The Linksys - Velop Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System was referred to me by a Best Buy sales rep for my current needs at home as a wifi extender and I have to say he was "SPOT ON"! Because of where my "ISP" has located my internet base at home the Velop has defiantly provided the coverage to my entire house and then some.

Works exactly as advertised and very easy to set up.

So easy to do! I already had an internet switch for other devices but wifi was terrible. I plugged this in and made very few adjustments in the Linksys app. It connected to my existing Linksys 8300 tri-band mesh router through the switch and gave off solid wifi.
