Got this as we were having problems with our WiFi and getting the TV in the living room to pick up Netflixs etc. Well, it works MOST of the time but still have buffering issues and lost connection. Our house is not THAT BIG (3,100 sf) so I wondered if that was the issue with lost connections but went ahead and spent almost $500 to buy this to help with this issue. Works inconsistently.

I replaced an AC router and a secondary. The mesh system is superior to what I had. During the setup, it analyzes the best spot for each node. Highly pleased.

Replaced a couple years old router with Velop. Coverage greatly improved inside and outside our home. Device priority is great to help keep some bandwidth while others stream

My optimum wifi sinks. After getting frustrated with wifi in my house we decided to get this wifi system which works great, I can now watch a movie with no problem. Love it

These are great to extend your internet and keep it at a fast speed around your house. Especially houses with finished basements.

After giving the velop mesh system a decent amount of time to resolve issues (6 months), i ended up returning these and purchasing a more reliable solution. Problems when I added a 3 mesh unit with reliable connectivity. Constantly disconnected and connected to other units, causing all devices to fail connecting.

Difficult to get it to work as designed. And difficult to get this review accepted into Best Buy online program!!!

I got tired of having to switch to my "extender" that plugs into the wall. Now I have good service all the way across my house.

It's amazing! Since I work from home it helps the consistency of my wifi signal throughout the house.

My WiFi greatly improved with this Mesh network. I can now get WiFi anywhere in my home. The speed varies in different areas of the hgome.

Geek Squad installed my Wi-Fi router. Now all of our appliances are getting an equal amount of signal from my Wi-Fi. This makes my security system work properly

Love that I can use my phone from any location to turn on and off the wifi at the house!! Great for when I want the kids to do something other than game.

I was pretty stoked to get the Velop system! I've been really excited about mesh wifi and was looking forward to trying it out. We have spots in our house that tend to be hard to get signals. My husband is very big on instruction manuals and we laughed at the single card startup guide that said download the app then follow the instructions. The setup was extremely easy. I did try to open a web interface with my router as that is what I've been used to, but when I did so, it stated that the router can only be accessed by the app. That was a big disappointment. It was until I spent more time in the app. I was able to do everything I needed to including port forwarding, Setting up Static IP addresses is done with a push of a button, so super easy! Blocking access is also easy with parental controls. We no longer have the issues with spottiness we did and coverage is amazing! I have a signal to the corner of my street, 5 houses down! I also love that I can see and control things even if I'm not home! Now for a few cons, Each tower has only two ethernet ports and no USB ports. With the initial tower setup, I plugged in the modem, but only had one port left. I used 3-4 on my previous router. I now have to move my nas to another tower in the house. For an advanced user, the lack of control over DHCP and DNS is a definite downside. Both the 2.4 Ghz and the 5 Ghz now are one network and the Velop chooses how it connects to each device. It tends to prefer strength over speed. During setup, it took a while to add the additional towers to the system but it was easy to do. The system is costly. Determine before purchasing, how many towers you need because they can be purchased individually or in a two pack as well as a 3 pack. Overall, I'm very happy with the Velop system as it does work very well and allows me to make adjustments that fit my needs. Really advanced users will be less happy with some of the restrictions however basic users will love the simplicity, speed and coverage of the Velop system.
