On paper it sounds like the perfect product, however in the real world it is terrible. I have filed a warranty claim twice (yes, they do a great job on warranty claims). Each time they determined that the node was bad. Sadly, the overall system has the same issue. It will drop a node for no apparent reason. The top off the experience the phone app (the recommended interface option) is terrible. It does not provide enough information to help the consumer determine the error. If the node were too far apart, I would move the closer, but there is no way to tell because the app does not give that kind of information.

The LED indicator of the Linksys WHW0303B will allow you to determine the possible trouble you're having with. If you still encounter the dropping connection issue, then you may try running the channel finder feature of the Velop, and make sure to update its firmware version to the latest one. Allow us to have our Escalation Engineers assist you further with this by sharing with us the details of what happened via email at [email protected] with your case or phone number and the link of this review, for our reference.

However, if you ever need to modify something beyond the initial setup, both the computer app and the mobile app are both written by imbeciles. It is the most useless app as there is no way to interface with the unit by typing in IP address in a web browser. It occassionally does work but when it does not work, you cannot make any changes. I love the consistent and coverage that the product does provide. I used to have to reset my modem and router at least once or twice a month before buying this unit but I DESPISE the inconsistency of the interface. BUY an Eero intead.

You can access the web interface of the Velop system using its IP address. Just make sure that you’re connected to the network in order to do so. Get in touch with us at [email protected] so our Escalation Engineers can assist you in making the desired changes from the web interface. Don’t forget to include a link to this post and your contact information for documentation.
