Told it was plug n play. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with support . Finally got system to work. I like the dashboard app. It worked great for about Three weeks, and one day I came home and it was down. I called support and spent over 2 hours on the phone , unplug this and reset that and plug this in and so on. Finally was told that she spent more than 2 hours with me and was going to have to send my up to level 2 support, and they were really busy And they would call me back in 2-3 hours. Well I never received a call back that day. I received a call back the next afternoon. In the meantime, a little while after the first person ended my support, the first node connected and I was able to finish the setup by myself. Personally I wouldn't buy this system again.

    Mesh Network Expands WiFi Coverage

The Velops two-unit mesh network enhanced coverage in the our 3600-sq-ft house (basement included). Previous router located in a first level home office provided spotty coverage to either the basement or upstairs. These stylish units fit into home decor nicely. A mix'n'match option that allows partnering a black unit with a white one without creating a price premium would be a nice option. The flexibility will allow the units to blend better. For example, a white unit may look great with a white shelving but draw attention to the unit when placed near darker surroundings such as a speaker. An initial setup blip was resolved quickly. Make sure to check for the Linksys email sent to your email address to complete the registration process properly, whether you are currently a registered user or new to Linksys.

Hard to initially setup and a little confusing, not as simple as Apple's AirPort Extreme but once they are running and you perform the appropriate updates these are definitely worth it.

The family was complaining about dead zones and slow wifi. I thought about upgrading my modem router but was told I could just do a mesh system. Lucky for me the Linksys Velop was on a nice sale but was the one that I had my eyes on prior. Ever since installing it I have had no complaints from the kids about things lagging or not getting any service in other parts of the house. I love the ability to pause the wifi on certain devices. Also how it splits up the devices that are paired to each Velop beacon. Some are on the low frequency 2.4ghz ones that need the 5.8ghz are on the higher frequency wifi. Definitely allows the wifi to be freely used with devices for streaming etc.

I was looking for a new router; the Velop system was recommended to me by the sales advisor (Keli). They were very easy to install and setup and they provide very high speeds on my wifi. Very happy with the purchase - I would buy them again.

There was a little difficulty in the setup. Need to call customer service 3 times so they can walk me through troubleshooting. But other than that, never had any weak signal throughout my house. It does deliver and very reliable.

Plug it in, download the app, couple simple questions, and it configures itself. Took the other down stairs....took about 5 min to sync. Downstairs I have it running to a switch, and have XBOX, Roku, and Dish connected to it. All work perfectly.

Upgraded my modem to Netgear 700CM and my router to the Velop router. My smart phone is a work phone and the Linksys app could not connect to the internet. I expect due to my company doing some filtering of what I can connect to. I was able to get to the internet when modem connected directly to the modem. I called LInksys Velop support and they were able to help get is setup. It took about 2 hours as there is a number of "reboots" of the nodes and other items, but Linksys would not end the call without knowing both nodes were working as expected. 2 hours is a long time, but Linksys support was very professional and courteous. He did an outstanding job in my book. It has been working as I expected, meaning good coverage in our home. We have one node on our main floor and one in our basement.

My house is 6300 sq ft and I had dead spots and weak WiFi in multiple places throughout the house. I followed the instructions and set up was quick and easy. It was just a matter of finding the best place for each node.

Loving the coverage throughout my house without having to manually switch to different nodes. Probably gonna get another node or 2 for backyard coverage. Already recomended my In-Laws get some for their house/farm.

With everyone working from home, we needed a stronger wifi signal to each room for zoom meetings to work and not lag. This was simple to set up and has given us an excellent signal in every room.

I was able to reliably place wireless in my home and shop without running hard wire or hanging external antennas on the exterior of my buildings. I would like a little more range or a little less cost. I might utilize one more pod.

Provides good coverage of the home, but seems to drop nodes with for no reason. Reconnect is easy with the app and many times only requires a repowering of the offline node
