Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

Was previously using an extender in tbe same location but even then still had issues connecting some devices and maintaining signal strength. The Velop took care of that and even extends further then expectec

I was getting low Wi-Fi signal in most parts of my house and experiencing frequent disconnects in the evening while kids were online gaming and I trying to stream Netflix. A friend recommended the Linksys-Velop AC2200. Setup was easy, I now have a strong signal throughout the house, and not experiencing any issues with disconnects during busy periods. The only negative is that after power outages it does not easily recover. I'm always having to manually reset one of the nodes in order for it to connect. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent purchase. Wasn’t thinking about making the investment but I am sure glad I did. Living in a 2 story house signal strength was low upstairs. Not anymore. Thank you Best Buy

I have been looking for a great home router for some time. I read about this online and had to get it. I have not been disappointed. It covers my entire home with out issue, and can handle wifi speeds of over 100 Mbps.

I was looking for good Wifi coverage in the house and tried this system and google mesh. Clearly this was the winner. Much stronger signal and speeds, but a bit harder to set up.

Okay I really like Linksys products. Been using them for decades now but I'm a little let down by how Linksyss is handling this particular product line. My wife and I decided to have some fun and rig up a lot of our light switches with tp-link switches. We wanted to make sure the entire house was meshed out in Wifi and for several months the system worked wonderfully. Unfortunately Linksys then sent out a firmware update to my routers that eventually made it to where the tp-link switches could no longer stay connected for any longer than a couple minutes at a time. This basically turned our entire smart home dumb. After fighting with tp-link (separate issue altogether) and Linksys it was found that Linksys was the culprit and the only way to fix the issue is me having to roll back to an older firmware version. 3 firmware updates later they still haven't addressed this issue. In short I don't know how much longer I may be dealing with Linksys.

      Hello, Mabea,

If your devices experience dropping connection behind the Velop System, then please try to run the channel finder feature and see if the same behaviour appears. Update us then on how it goes via email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review for reference, so we can have you assisted further by our Escalation Engineers.

Originally I was looking for a different wifi mesh unit, but at the store I was directed to this one. Once I described my issues (dead spots, devices being dropped, etc.) the rep told me that this is what he used at his house and it would work for me. I had previously updated my router and tested the signal - all strong. Once I installed this unit, which was very simple and straightforward, we saw increased speeds. The first day there was an issue with our Xbox One, but after removing it from and re-installing it into the network group it worked great. Been almost a month now and I have a house of happy users. We are finally getting the speed I've been paying for, no dead spots, no dropped devices! Get it, you won''t be sorry.

I recently bought two of these, one of myself and one for my parents. For myself my issue was outside mowing the lawn. I had a repeater in the front of the house but when going back & forth I would lose the signal and my tunes for a moment while it reconnected to the main router. No more! For my parents who have an "L" shaped ranch, it was their dining room. Again, No more! They can walk through the whole house while talking to me on the iPad. I like the fact that if I come to realize I need more, I can add more. I do wish the range was a bit stronger AND I am not thrilled that they only have two network ports on the back. I had to buy a hub. I have re-purposed my old router as a guest router.

Installed within 30 mins or so. App is very user friendly. Only one hiccup is that you have to go on the website toactivate the 5Ghz network otherwise you'll get the 2.4 only to show up.

Router works well and things like Zoom meetings and gaming have much less lag. Also the second unit gives excellent coverage to a distant bedroom. I recommend this system.

I got this Linksys on sale. It is a very good product. Setup was easy and I was up and running in 15 minutes. So far this Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System works as advertised.

Two weeks in and nothing but good connections. The setup was a little difficult and required me to reset twice before I was able to figure it out. Not overly complex but not well documented. Devices are placed in an L shaped 2 floor home with one in the toe of the L and the others-one on each floor of the back of the L. Have 5 adults with multiple devices (Xbox, laptops, tablets, phones, tv’s, dvd/br players, etc) and all connected seamlessly. Encountered issues previously due to house construction and neighbor interference.

I had really high hopes for these. Earlier this year I purchased a Linksys AC2200 Mesh router (with the thought I might expand it out with the supported Velop Nodes). The router itself has served us reasonably well. We have an acceptable wifi connection thro9ughout most of the house with occasional blips, but no access in our garage. I thought expanding the system with 3 Velop Nodes would give us great wifi throughout the house and finally get a decent connection in the garage. I was thoroughly disappointed. All 3 nodes required at least 2-3 attempts to complete the auto configuration. The nodes had trouble connecting from areas where our PC and my phone show a great connection. Eventually get all 3 nodes connected, but one of them continuously dropped offline. Throughout the roughly 24 hours we had these setup, the internet across the entire network was slow and intermittent. Devices with no issue prior to setting these up suddenly started dropping connection regularly and Netflix would buffer constantly. The signal showed good strength but the bandwidth was horrendous. I reset the entire system numerous times, ran the Channel Finder tool, and sent refresh signals to my modem but the connection continued to be terrible. The nodes somehow choked up the network and caused a wired connection from the linksys router to the tv to perform poorly (Modem>>Main Router>>TV). I (possibly) had one node on an Ethernet backhaul to the router (Modem>>Router>>Node), however there is also no easy way to prove that the ethernet backhaul is what is being used as opposed to mesh wifi. Sitting in that room, the wifi still crawled even though there was good signal. Eventually I unplugged all 3 nodes and everything went back to normal. The only good thing that came out of this was that I finally bit the bullet and hardwired my home office which I had been putting off all year. It took me less time to crawl though the attic and fish some cables than I spent messing with these things and the connection is obviously better. One Star for forcing my hand on the hardwire, however these things are being returned as soon as possible. What a letdown!
