Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. Tried multiple mesh wifi systems and all were spotty. This is the only one that was reliable and improved connection. Extremely easy to set up. Highly recommend!

Got these on sale. I have to say if they were full price I’d still be happy. They work great, very easy to setup. I would recommend.

Really increased the signal in my house and surrounding area. Only thing I have found to be an issue, when power outage or internet is interrupted, it does not automatically reset.

2 out of the 3 towers work all the time and you can go from one to the other. One tower never activates but other than that it’s really good.

Set up was fairly straight forward, would appreciate consistency in the off/on switch markings from other platforms, but otherwise a great product once installed.

Easy to install, the phone app is great, the coverage was a little spotty in places. Interference from electronic devices is the cause. Overall a good router

First bit of advice, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! I did not and had to go through the setup a second time because I didn't. Once I did follow the directions setup was easy and it has worked great since.

Step up from my old Orbi system that was having connection issues (that may have been because it was an older system in a new house). Seems to do pretty well.

Bunch or firmware problems; missing documentation

    |

A bunch or problems: 1) No manual for the Web interface. Manual is provided only for the phone app. Shocking. Had to call Support to do initial setup (despite that I am IT processional and setup over a dozen of routers before). 2) Ethernet ports are not truly autosensing. Cable coming from Internet modem must be plugged into Ethernet port 0 of the router (above Reset button) for this router to work. 3) Location of the "CA" (Complete Access) link is the worst possible - a tiny link in the lower right part of the Web interface. However, switching to CA mode is required for the initial setup of the system. Who would know you need to click on that tiny link??? 4) Once you switch to CA mode you cannot switch back to managing individual node you are connected to. There is just no link or button provided for that (why???). You would have to log out from the administrative page (web interface) completely and log back in to start managing that individual node you are connected to rather than the entire system. 5) Only 2 Dynamic DNS providers are supported while an average router usually supports 5-10. And those 2 Dynamic DNS providers that are supported are really a bad choice - one is very expensive and slow while the other one requires confirmation every month to keep the access. 6) No option for saving configuration to a hard drive. This is the first router I saw that does not allow saving/uploading configuration. LinkSys should really revamp its firmware and provide proper documentation before selling these devices to the broad public. As of now it feels like this router was rushed to the market and never designed/tested properly.

    Great mesh system for homes!

Our home is about 2800 sq ft and the mesh system is working great for our needs. We have had single router systems, and the mesh has been working better than all of the single router systems. We have 2 smart tv's, 3 Echos, and multiple devices. There are times that there are as many as 12 devices connected to the WIFI in our home and it works really well! When we've had lightning flicker our lights, the router may need to be re-connected but the app helps with that and so does Customer Service. The app is also great to help you name your WIFI to something you can remember easily! I've recommended this system to several of my friends.

This may not be fair because the intended location of this system ended up with many more outdoor conex boxes than anticipated. We were unable to get through metal (no surprise) and line of sight was very limited so going around them was also not possible. Seemed easy to set up in the office and worked well inside, but were unable to make it work within the intended site. Ended up having to return and get an expensive outdoor wireless router instead.

      Hi QuickVFR,

Your feedback is of great value. However, having this challenges with our Velop WHW0303 is far from expected. The unit should be ideal for large, 5+ bedroom multi-story homes (upto 6,000 sq.ft.). We could have tapped our Escalation Engineers to check the unit and provide further diagnosis before returning it. Should you have any Linksys products in the future and need a helping hand, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at LinksysCares@linksys.com. We're eager to help.

This is a very good product with far better signal than we got from the equipment from the cable company- Comcast. It did require a good deal of technical support to get it working right.
