Which would be in essence a different connection. So if on a skype call it would drop the call when I moved from one part of the house to the other. The Velop solved that problem. However it's ability to change to access via the node closest to the PC is mediocre. I have a node 5 ft away from my desktop PC and it won't access that one, instead accesses one 100 feet away.

And after narrowing down the different brands I decided to try the Linksys - Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. The best purchase ever. I placed a receiver on each level of my house for complete coverage. No more dead spots or failed connections. I now get full wifi coverage in my entire. Great for streaming TV. Setup was little tricky but the customer service was great.

We completely understand how you're feeling towards this experience. Do you mean to say that there’s no connection coming from the Velop WHW0302? If so, rebooting the Mesh network along with the main modem might do the trick. Let’s also check if the nodes are running on the latest firmware versions. It took about 40 minutes and 1 rest before everything was working. It has GiG ports but you only get up to 600mbps at best. I have 1 gig fiber so to me it was important but I decided to stick with it. The coverage was great at first and the wireless speeds were all over 150mbps, which is pretty good. I have no idea what has happened but now my throughput is 350mbps and my wireless connections are less than 50 mbps. Nothing has changed in my home network. One node keeps dropping out off and I have to power cycle it to get it to join. Also my smart devices like door lock and camera's keep disconnecting and reconnecting randomly. I tried customer service but they just blame the internet provider, which I have had on the phone and ran test on my connection. Nothing wrong there. It's past the return date so I'm stuck. If you have a medium size home and less than 20 devices this might work good for you. If you have over 20 devices (26-30) it will end up crashing.

There might be some interference that are causing connection issues. You can try to use the channel finder on the Linksys app to optimize the nodes and try to swap the Ethernet cable between the modem and Velop system for isolation. Also, make sure to update the firmware of the Velop system.

Would like to have more control over it and be able to use the special setting/functions of it when in bridge mode though. Have too many things that are also wired to have the wifi also setup for DHCP. Another feature that would be nice is if the units would talk to each other via the network and not wireless, or have to direct connect them together. Maybe that will change in future renditions.
