Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

I bought this router to replace my old AC wifi router. We have a ranch style ~1500 sq ft home. I placed the three routers in triangular fashion at equal distance from base station. I am above average tech savvy and am not impressed with the performance of the system. We do not have any gamers in the house, use it to work from home and home schooling in addition to streaming on one TV at a time. Signal fluctuates around the house and I have had trouble standing 3 feet from the satellite station. Devices (TV, computer and phone) are always switching to internet company's Wifi router as Linksys signal fluctuates and drops internet intermittently. I am returning this to store and buying a different system.

I only had these for about a month but to be honest I am disappointed. I actually don't feel any better speed and my previous router was over 10 years old. (On Comcast High speed and there is a serious difference plugged straight into the modem). It might be better in a large remote house where there aren't as many interfering signals as the city.

this mesh system really goes the distance in wifi range. My old dual router wouldn't even reach the front of my house. With this system it goes to the middle of the street. My house is around 1100 sq ft. The only thing bad is that both nodes go offline once in a while. But the re- start only takes about 3 minutes for each node.

We live in a 2 story townhouse. Our cable receiver is on the middle floor, office is on the upper floor. Always was having problems with internet connection until we purchased this device. Much better connection on all levels with no more dropping of the internet. The white looks great!

I upgraded from a dual band mesh home network wifi system to this tri-band mesh network for coverage in a 3400 square foot two story home hooked up to 200 Mbps internet speed. The set up process was fairly easy using an application on my smart phone and took approximately 30 minutes to set all three routers throughout the house and that's only because of the amount of time it took the program and routers to sync and update. They only require one router to be hard lined to the modem and the other ones sit independently while also allowing an option to hard line one ethernet cable to them. Once it was set up, I could forget about ever losing wifi coverage throughout the house and it has so far been seemless. I didn't notice any difference switching from the dual band to tri-band but I imagine in a different set up and more space that may come into play more. The application was easy to use and convenient if trying to prioritize where you need the signal the most. It doesn't take much effort to change the positioning of the other routers as they just plug into a standard outlet and there's no real need to go through any syncing you do with some router extenders on the market as the application already knows when there's a Velop router in range. The app will also tell you whether it needs to be moved if it's not getting a good enough signal. I've been able to stream movies, browse the net, game over different consoles throughout the whole house with no loss of internet signal. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a great wifi set up for a large area and even in a 3000+ house it's probably over kill.

This product is acceptable, not as good as I was told when I bought it to replace another that was 1year and 2 days old. I needed internet for kids schooling. I received no help from netgear or geek squad, after I was told to leave original netgear device and they would handle it. I was then told to come pick it up.
