Was using 3 extenders to get wifi intermittently.This new mesh system with 3 nodes Was recommended by Best Buy sales person. Outstanding!! I now can get excellent wifi on my computer, iPad and On demand, Netflix etc on my smart tvs! I'm really happy with this product. My sisters wifi is very much improved as well! YAY!

I now am running the Velop with the older smart WIFI bridged over to increase our signals. I would recommend these or even the latest systems out now.

There is a necessary firmware update needed prior to attempting to link the nodes. I was frustrated moving nodes around and the app reporting no link. Finally called support (excellent by the way) and was led through the process. She stayed on the line for 40 minutes until we were sure everything worked fine.

I was looking forward to not having the bandwidth decimated by connecting to our wi-fi network through an extender. Unfortunately, the Velop has not been the answer to our dream network. We often lose the signal completely, which wrecks havoc on the ability to stream on demand. Sometimes the wi-fi is so slow (and it isn't our ISP, we've checked with 3 different speed tests) that I actually disconnect my tablet and phone from the wi-fi and use my mobile data plan...and, that is when nothing else is running on my wi-fi network. We have a lot of electronic devices in our house. It's entirely possible that there is interference that causes the connection problems. So far, we haven't been able to figure out what the issue is - and my husband has been an IT network guy for over 20 years. I cannot imagine how someone without a computer/networking background would deal with this product.
