Helpful customer service got my tricky devices up and running. Great app. Great product. Keeps everything running smoothly. Only criticism is that the advanced features are pretty buried for the tech-savvy. Had to call customer service to get into them. weird.

Absolute life saver. Our router is down in the basement and we were getting very poor signal upstairs across the house. Linksys mesh system has us running 189 Mbps download and 85 Mbps upload throughout the house now.

The Linksys Velop system has allowed me to have consistent high speed wifi coverage though our the entire house. Even with a highly reviewed individual router I had spotty coverage on the second floor in a home with brick walls. The Velop system has totally resolved that difficulty.

We have a 3700 square foot home and have had wifi issues since day one. I tried extenders and new routers, etc. Nothing worked. I got the Velop mesh system and it has been AMAZING! The wifi is super fast in every room in the home!! (Even across the street in my neighbors driveway).

They kept dropping my signal when I first set it up with my Spectrum wifi but I've since set it up in bridge mode and it's been working perfect. It's probably not the correct situation but at least it works as it's supposed to.

I have 37 devices attached to the network ... before this the network was slow and some were not connecting. The mesh technology allows to place these units in strategic locations. Now my cameras and all items stream as they should. I highly recommend.

Works, now I get good signal quality throughout my house. I also get connectivity nearly 100 yards away in my field. It may not be the newest model or the fastest but it is on the money. No more problems with FaceTime or Zoom calls

When these Linksys Velops are in very close proximity, they work like a charm. However, upload and download speeds TANK when only a few feet away from the routers. I would recommend this setup for a small/medium size house or apartment only.

      Hi, adeelc,

There are factors that possibly caused the limited coverage, such as the physical obstructions and interference. Running the channel finder as well as utilizing the Spot Finder Technology might help. Making sure that the Nodes are running on the latest firmware will also improve the overall performance of the device.

Get in touch with us at LinksysCareslinksys.com so we can have our Escalation Engineers look into this further. Indicate your contact information and a link to this review as our reference.

We have a 2,500 sq apartment and while the space is amazing, the WiFi was terrible. We bought this to help with the “drop” zones and it has been amazing. I definitely recommend this product for those looking to boost their network’s strength within a semi large space.

This is my third Wi-Fi mesh system I have used, and the Linksys Velop is my favorite one. What I like best about the Velop is that it has fast performance and able to cover a large area because it has a dedicated 5 mHz band for back haul connection. Some mesh Wi-Fi systems and repeaters loss up to half the speed when using the extender or additional mesh unit. The dedicated channel for backhaul lets you experience faster speeds with your additional Velop units. I have 50 up and 5 down cable internet. In my main room with the router and modem I can get speeds of up to 61 Mbps up and 6 Mbps down. In my living room I have an additional Velop unit. I experience the exact same numbers. With my old systems my speed would be around 25 Mbps down and 2 Mbps Up. The Velop I was able to have the exact same speeds 61 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. I experienced the same numbers where I watch streaming down stairs with an iPad pro. No longer do I experience any buffering or lose of signal and clarity has been greatly improved. I set a third Velop unit in my garage and here is where I love it. Speeds in my garage used to by 3 Mbps down and >1 Mbps up. With the Velop I know have 40 Mbps down and 5 Mbps down. By my pool I could never have a signal and now my speeds are 30 Mbps down and 4 down. At the back of my property (3/4 of an acrea about 120 feet from the main router and 100 feet from the 3rd Velop unit) I have speeds of up to 30 Mbps down and 3 Mbps down. I now have internet all over my house and yard. I have an older house with plaster and concrete drywall, with a tiled full shower so there is a lot of barriers in my house preventing a strong signal. Set up was a breeze. I downloaded the app and set everything up. The app let me know if my units were too far from the source and helped me for optimal placement. The app is nice because I can change settings all from my phone. This was the easiest set up I have ever used. My favorite part of the app is that I can set up to three devices as priority devices. This will ensure that they receive top speeds when a lot of other devices are using your wifi. When I travel throughout the house and outside I never noticed a temporary slowdown in speed as I was watching a movie on Netflix. This is not the case for my other systems I have used. The Velop supports dynamic frequency selection that allows the Velop to automatically pick the best channel or band at a given time to connect your phone, tablets, streaming units, etc and clients together. I like also how I can connect an Ethernet cable to my Apple TV to eliminate signal loss. The Velop also allows for Amazon Alexa to control your home network. Velop also uses airtime fairness which means that when you have multiple devices with different Wi-Fi speed needs, the devices are treated differently based on their top speed. This allows all devices to connect at their best speeds for improved performance and use. The Velop also does support MU-MIMO, but I did not use this. Lastly I love the style of the Velop. It is tower based and easily blends in with your house. The tower set up doesn’t take a lot of space on a desk and most of the wires come out the back and are out of site. If you want a wifi system that will cover all of your house, super easy to set up and not have to think about it in order to for your wi-fi to perform at a premium, this is the wi-fi mesh system for you.

Was highly recommended and not disappointed with this product. We have a 2 story home and had difficulty with wi-fi coverage constantly dropping or getting weak signals. I bought 2 2pack system and now have great signals throughout the house & no more drop signals.

Wanted to love this mesh network but we started experiencing issues within a week. Big drop in speeds, lagging issues with gamer kids on game console and pc, had to reboot network every other day, buffering issues trying to stream on cell phones and smart tv streaming apps. Was recommended the Netgear Orbi AC3000 mesh set up and we have been very happy since. On return off this set up I was also recommended to buy our own modem and that has made a difference too. I am reviewing this item vs new mesh setup after 3 months of exchange. Rating based on issues but I am also factoring the modem could’ve played a part but I also read a lot of similar issues with this set up on forums.

      Hi FloridaTechie,

Although we could have tried to use the channel finder on the Linksys app to help optimize the Velop system, it should have worked properly after it was set up.

I bought this hoping I could get better coverage in my house than a single router. I had the Netgear AC1900 that would not reach all corners of my house. Setup was not hard but at one point I did have to throw my hands up and hit reset on them to start over since my app would not find the routers. Once it was up and running, the speeds would slow down or they would drop Apple devices only. The devices said they were connected and had a strong signal but the could not get out to the internet. I ended up returning them.

      Hi, Chinman,

Using the channel finder on the Linksys app and make sure the firmware updates might have helped resolve the issue as there might be some wireless interference that is causing the issue but, we understand your decision.
