Solved a problem with flying colors

I purchased this set of routers for a friend who has a severe wifi problem at home, due to non- drywall construction at home which makes very challenging the coverage in the rooms divided with walls. We distributed the main routers and 2 other nodes according the the layout. It has so much power that coverage begins from outside the residence. Definitely, "you get what you pay". This is worth every cent paid. Installation was easy with the app downloaded to the smartphone.

The Velop AC2200 has resolved the wifi issue in my house no other product had been able to. I am trying to cover 5000+ sqft over 3 levels. I had a signal in roughly 1/3 of the house and zero in the rest. After installing this mesh network, the dead areas are now around 180 mbps! I am more than pleased with this purchase, particularly getting them on sale for $250. This product is definitively worth it if you have a large area to cover. It is also super easy to set up, no tech knowledge or assistance necessary at all.

I bought this system to improve wifi coverage in my home and expand it to cover our pool area outside. It did the job and more. We have better connection, faster speeds on devices. Love it so much. Set up was not working on my own but I called the Linksys customer service and they walked me thru it step by step, with a few tricks along the way. Patience in this area pays off. The call center tech was AMAZING and knew her stuff. No one reading from a computer TO DO list with this company. They know their equipment. Highly recommend!!

Surprisingly mediocre. I had tremendously high hopes for this mesh system, being my first one. I don’t particularly live in a massive residence, all together it’s about 2400Sq Ft that needed coverage. Previously used a WRT1900AC from linksys and had high hopes for this model being my great history with linksys. The first model I had must’ve been defective as I couldn’t get faster then 200mbps within the same room as the parent node, and my older linksys would give me 450 from hundreds of feet away like 5 rooms away. In any case, I exchanged it for another model and lo and behold, I got faster speeds... but not 450. Barely 400. And having an excellent connection on all 3 units having a hardwired connection to my PlayStation I was actually getting ~90 mbps vs 130 on my old router. It was pointless. My ac1900 cost half as much as this unit, it’s 6 years old and outperforms this by miles. I immediately returned this unit and got my money back. My recommendation is to stray from mesh systems unless you have an absolutely massive property... otherwise, you’re better off getting a normal beefy single unit router.

      Hi,

The Linksys Velop system can deliver Gigabit Ethernet speed and up to 867 Mbps (for each 5GHz) and 400 Mbps for 2.4 GHz band of WiFi speed. But, if you need assistance with other Linksys devices, feel free to reach out to us at LinksysCares@linksys.com with the link to this review for our reference.

Bought this on a whim after getting fed up with my dying existing router. Made my internet really fast and now I very rarely have connection issues with additional router in a different location of the house. Set up was fast and easy, however, I did run into a little hiccup with the last section of the setup. Had to call the Linksys troubleshoot line and the representative was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was going on. He walked me through what to do, and in 20 minutes I had a spanking new wifi connection.

We were very frustrated with our internet; it was weak, often failed and it did not reach very far. We were going to change providers until we were guided to the Linksys system. We did need help from their customer service (who was wonderful) to set ours up because we had issues that prevented the standard set up; however, once set up was complete we have been extremely happy. Now we have service throughout our house and outside too, our internet is quicker and I think we have only had to reboot once. We are very happy with the Linksys system.

I'm a tech of 20 years, and Velop is one of the best products I've seen yet. I've got several (10+) customers using a Velop system now, and I can honestly say I've yet to work on one of them. That says a lot. The app is easily configurable and adding nodes couldn't be easier.

I was very intimidated with the thought of building a wireless mesh in my home. I straddle GenX and Me-llenial, but I prefer plumbing and framing to IT. These are truly plug and play. The app works awesome from my cell phone. I've had a few glitchy moments with all of the cells, and the issues have been resolved through online and also over the phone troubleshooting. I looked at a bunch of different mesh systems when I was in the market because my wife hates the multi antenna single routers, which all of the fast ones have six or more of. I am a pretty loyal Linksys customer as I have had their routers since 802.11a was the fastest that you could get. I considered the eero solution but I didn't want a three pack and I wasn't about the get the one with the little booster. I wanted all of the nodes to be Tri-band, so that knocked out a quite a few of them. In the end I am very happy with my purchase, and didn't realize how much my old router was slowing down my internet connection. my four year old router was speed testing my 100MB internet connection at around 96MB which I thought was good and in the margin of error. When I swapped to this system, which only took about 10 minutes, the speed test for this one was at 115M. I am impressed and look forward to seeing how it works in the long haul.

Needed to get Wifi access to several outbuildings on my one-acre property. Told it couldn't be done with a mesh system. Bought a competing product and the experts were right - it didn't work. Talked to someone a few days later who had a large property and had success with the Linksys Velop. Thought I would give it a try. Very easy to set up and get going. And you know what - it works like a charm. Getting consistently 110 up and 123 download at over 150 feet from my router.

So I returned google's and got this one, 2 is good enough for up to 4000 sqt, very stable, and looks good also. Love the parental control and prioritization feature, the phone app is a little glitchy but it's getting better after each update, Belkin made this thing right!

Got this to replace a few year old Linksys router that was limiting my bandwidth. It's pricey a bit overkill for the square footage of my current house, but will be nice if we move into a larger place. Setup was super easy with the app on my iPhone. The app gave instructions, and the nodes set themselves up. Had to run the setup a couple times on the 3rd node and move it to a different place in the room to get it to connect to the other nodes, but it ended up working perfectly. Now instead of getting ~23mbps on wireless, I'm getting 430mbps and full bars on 5ghz anywhere in the house.

Before I purchased these WiFi extenders / routers, our internet was only available in a couple of rooms. And those rooms were limited speed. Now we can go into every room in the house. As well as the garage and driveway. Super fast. Really pleased with this purchased.

;This router setup offers great connectivity. It does lack alot of the advanced features that a more specialty router has, but what it lacks in features, it makes up in ease of setup and use. Filled in all of the gaps that my Nighthawk 6 left.

This system replaced a good Linksys system that was a few years old. It was struggling to keep up with the demands being placed on it. It was easy to install and connect. The signal is strong and it eliminated some of the gaps in the coverage in remote places in the house.
