The Velop WiFi system exceeded my expectations

I have att fiber 1gbps and this tri-band mesh could not deliver. My goal was to get at least 200-300 mbps speeds at the furthest point of my house. I get my nodes set in spots recommended in the instructions. Major disappointment. Sure i got full signal (usually) at every point in my 1600sq ft house (says up to 5000sq ft) but the speed was very disappointing. My att gateway could produce speeds faster that 100mbps with weak signals. This thing could not even produce 40mbps.. The linksys support was pretty much useless, telling me to disable all the main features of why i bought this in the first place. I did all the trouble shooting, replacing the internet cords changing various settings and nothing fixed the speed issues. SO long story short, if you are looking for reliable connection, sure this thing will provide that to your house, but you wont be getting close to the speeds you are paying for. not even 10% in my case.

Frequency interference from other device may one of the possible causes of the slow internet connection. Make sure to place your nodes away from other device that might cause the issue and run the channel finder feature of your Velop System. Great system for multi-level house

Whether recommended or not depends on the location of where you want to place them according to layout of the rooms in your home. I do recommend it based on gerting some improvement for WiFi and going the least expensive way ... although still pricey. But not as much as getting access points installed.
