I've had this system for almost a month, for our 3 storey 2700sq ft home and here are my thoughts: Serup: My setup has one node on each floor with the master on the middle floor. I understand this is the best placement for my home. Setup was very easy for me as compared to what I've read from other reviewers. It actually took me less than 30 mins to setup all 3 nodes. I kept the same wifi SSID and password as my old network and all my devices connected automatically. The app was easy to use and very intuitive. Coverage: This system provides very good coverage. All my devices have better wifi signal on all the floors with my setup, and coverage extends to the backyard and beyond. Performance: This is where I've had issues with this system. I've had problems with laggy and slow connections especially the last few days. This is happening particularly in the rooms where there are nodes. I would expect that these rooms should have the best of performance, but that's not been the case. I know this is not an issue with my internet. Over the weekend, the Linksys app said the node on my lowest floor was down even though it was powered on and the light indicator was solid blue. I had to power cycle it to have it reconnect to the master node. I will be contacting support for troubleshooting but really thinking of sending it back for a different system.

The wife set this up in a about 30 minutes with no issues and it works like a champ. Few things holding me back from giving that coveted fifth star. Those the app for your phone is not user friendly and limited features, there is no security program like TPLINK's system not password security but network security and it is way pricey system for the features. Plus what is with the stupid plugs having such short cords and only 1 other hard wire port to connect to the unit? Would not recommend as there are much cheaper priced systems that do more or the same.

Great for the most part. Fast speeds usually and decent coverage of my home Not as smooth of a “Mesh” As they say. When walking through my home, it doesn’t automatically switch to a different node like it should. Often some of my devices connect to the 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz so I have to disconnect and reconnect hoping it will switch back to the 5ghz. I read a linksys support response that said you can use web interface to separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz into 2 seperate networks but then I think that loses what they advertise as the benefits.

Have had this home WiFi product for over a year. Easy to set up. Used 2 nodes to cover large house. Did a nice job. Care free until recently lost internet. Had excellent technical support from the Linksys Velop Hotline. The technician spent an hour with me and worked through the problem very nicely and patiently. She problem solved on the fly and clearly knew her stuff. This was after the technical support from the ISP and the modem manufacturer were unable to help. I'd recommend Linksys for this product and for their technical support.

Easy to set up, great reception and definitely expanded my coverage in my house. Plus it has extended all the way out to my patio in the backyard. It's about 300 feet from the back door and reception has been great. Easy to move if needed to another area of the house. Also, my house has steel siding, yes, old school house built in 1961, so the siding does prevent WiFi to penetrate outside. Not with this system. Use to use a NextGear extender at my back door and reception was so-so. Now with this, it's full tilt!

Linksys - Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System (2-pack) - White - The Wi-Fi system works great in a 3000 sq ft house. Helped to reduce the lags/drops from the internet. Provides a very strong reception for the gaming as well as work done through the internet.

Excellent. 6 months use so far, main downstairs w router, 2nd upstairs halfway across house. no issues. Easy plug and play set up took 5-10min.

I have a large home which has always been a challenge to cover adequately with WiFi. I did a bit of research and decided to go with the VELOP whole home mesh WiFi system. In all to cover all the areas of a large home I have 5 units to insure full coverage. I find the system works well and I am hoping in time with firmware upgrades it will get even better. I do have occasional issues with a hub dropping offline (although it says all is fine in the app). However all in all - the coverage is good, the speed seems good and the setup could not be easier.

Longtime, loyal Linksys customer. Replaced my latest Linksys Router with the Velop system. Setup was fairly easy and straightforward. Initial performance, outstanding. But after a day or two, connectivity to the router (central unit) became very spotty. Frequently had to disconnect from wi-fi and reconnect. Repeated setup of Velop to no avail. Finally gave up and switched to Netgear (Orbi) mesh system, and VERY happy! Sorry Linksys!

If you're looking to add range to your network, this is great. No speed difference. Make sure you use a different ethernet cable. The one provided is bad. I now use a cat-7 cable and get 115 mb/s down and 15 mb/s up. I get also get 80 mb/s down over the wifi

This system with its app is easy to use. It did up the speed of our internet. We have 2 nodes in a 1200 square ft 2-story house. One thing that attracted me is the ability to selectively turn off internet connectivity on specific devices. It is easy to do that with the app. Only thing is that it only took a week for my teenager to figure out how to reverse whatever I do. So if you have a tech savvy digital addicted teen it won’t solve your problem. For younger kids or a more tech savvy parent then me it might.

This was very easy and quick to setup. I like that there is an app too. Now I will know if and when my wifi goes down. A little pricey but a nice product.

Very easy to setup using your iPhone (cannot speak to android). Worked well right from beginning. The issue I saw was when moving from one location in the home to another ...where you'd assume that your device would be passed from one mesh router to another. What I saw is that some of my devices would do that... move from one router to the closest to you...but others would stay attached/connected to the furthest router with the weakest signal (which made no sense). I called link sys and spent a lot of time with tech support (bumped up to level 2/3 not the general first line tech support who just want you to go through the install process again). What I learned is that I'm not alone in seeing this (and to be honest I don't see it all the time and not with every device...) - it's a known issue which they are working on software to correct. Supposedly there is a release coming soon which should fix it.... but it's not out yet... thus I take one star away. other than this issue, I've seen better bandwidth than having a router/extender setup which this replaced. Overall I'm happy with this but for the price, this issue I raised above should not be there. The other minor issue is that the app you use to monitor which station which device is attached doesn't show all the devices which are connected... which is bad from a security perspective and clearly a software issue... hopefully also fixed with an upcoming release. I did contemplate giving 3 or lower stars due to the price and fact that such a pricey system should not have such issues... but generally this is working better than the system it replaced.

Overall very good product, nodes need to be closer together than I would like meaning that I needed more nodes to cover my house. Connectivity is very fast. App is functional but a bit awkward at times. Price is high, but worth it.

I purchased this additional Velop Tower to add to the three (3) pack I had already purchased. Having the four (4) units in my 5,000 SF home gives me complete coverage throughout the house. Best system on the market. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Faster speeds and better coverage. Easy set up and trouble shooting. Highly recommended for families with gaming in the house.

My particular home has a strange setup where my home office/router is at one end of the building, and I have to envelop the entire home with Wi-Fi, plus my home is well-insulated with thick walls. I previously used an ASUS AC1900 which when installed in my office, it could almost reach the other end of the home on the 5G band (it would cut off in the back bedroom). I first tried a Cisco WAP371 which dropped the 5G band the moment I'd leave my office (since my router was a Cisco RV345). I next tried the Linksys Velop. When it functioned, it did blanket my home with solid Wi-Fi with decent speeds. However, due to the thickness of the walls between my office and other parts of the home, the satellite node continued to knock offline and could not hold a connection to the primary node, even though the app stated it was in an optimum location. I ended up replacing both my router and Wi-Fi through my local ISP who installed one of their cloud-managed Cambium routers and installed a Wireless Access Point in my ceiling hard-wired back to the router. After running walkthrough tests, it was the only way to get solid Wi-Fi throughout my entire home on the 5G band, and even then the signal slightly decreases at the back bedroom. For homes with less-insulated walls, the Linksys Velop may work well for you and provide solid coverage at decent speeds, but I live in a particular setup where the only Wi-Fi gear that will cover me is enterprise-grade equipment centrally installed and hard-wired to the router.

A very quick and easy setup. I wanted to add wifi to an outside building that is 150 feet from the main building. I programmed the units and made sure they were all on line. Unplugged one of the satellite units and moved it to the remote building and it just started up and immediately started working. It works so well, I am able to stream video with on issues. The system also eliminated the delay issues the son was having with playing his first person games. I have been extremely happy with this product.

I never dealt with a mesh system before, but the app and the system were very intuitive and easy to set up. And I am using the systems to link two computers by ethernet. I have been surprised at how fast the internet is. However, each computer has had a few moments where the internet will cut out for only one computer for 10-20 minutes from our ethernet but not the internet. I am not sure if it is coming from the Mesh or the internet itself.

Very simple to install (they install themselves via your smartphone) and very effective. They have been flawless since installed. Admittedly, I have three in a 2,400 sq ft three floor condo (which is coverage overkill) it is far more effective and much simpler than the Linksys EA9500 it replaced. It’s a three band setup but I love the fact that you don’t have to assign 2.4, 5, or 5(2) ghz to devices. It figures it all out by itself, silently assigning the correct band to each device and one SSID is all you need to deal with. And no need for extenders!
